In french:

*You get a new caravan when you research animal husbandry, this first caravan can only follow ground routes and be within a 10 hexes radius. You need a granary to export food and a workshop to export production. You will be able to send your caravan trough sea when you discover sailing, and send your caravans within a 45 hexes radius and double gold bonus.
*The first civilization to discover printing press and all other civs will found a "world congress" that will become later the UN. it is possible amongst other choices to vote for a tax on military units.
*Brazil has a new unit : Pracinha that generates golden age points with each victory (twice as fast in ennemy territory).
*Portugal, leader Maria I, generates more gold on commercial routes, their Unique unit is the "Nau" can sell exotic goods in foreign territory to generate gold. Their workers can build a "feitoria" near city states to "borrow" (?) a luxury ressource.
*Assyria can steal a technology when they conquer a city, they have a special siege unit that gives a bonus for attacking cities to all the nearby units. Its unique building replaces library and gives a science bonus proportionnal to the population.
*Shaka Zulu has a halved maintenance cost for melee units, and 25% exp bonus for all units. Impi replaces Pikemen, has a ranged attack before his melee attack.
*New civilizations are going to be announced

Thanks for posting! Good to have some info on the Zulus.

The Impi it seems is a Pikeman replacement and has a 'first strike' type ranged attack but its main attack is melee, not ranged.

Of the new things The new stuff iss

Siege Tower's uniqueity finally revealed (Flanking bonus I guess)
Zulu's UA revealed (Halved Maintenance and 25% XP bonus)

New:

*Portugal, leader Maria I, generates more gold on commercial routes

That must be Portugal's UA.

*special siege unit that gives a bonus for attacking cities to all the nearby units.

That's the description for Assyria's Siege Tower

*Its unique building replaces library and gives a science bonus proportional to the population

That's the Royal library...but doesn't the regular library already do that?

*halved maintenance cost for melee units, and 25% exp bonus for all units.

Zulu UA

*His unique unit is the "impi" that has a first mid range attack before his ranged attack.

I think you mean a short ranged attack AND a melee attack, which is cool

*Its unique building replaces library and gives a science bonus proportional to the population

That's the Royal library...but doesn't the regular library already do that?

Regular library is 1 science per 2 citizens. Maybe the Royal Library is 1 science per citizen.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the new information:

Phew...I didn't think they were ever going to announce the remaining civs. Just let them be a release day surprise! :mischief:

If the range attack before melee carries over for the impi, imagine a militaristic CS gifting impis to Poland! Impi Hussars FTW :crazyeye:

I don't see that as an ability that will carry over to Lancers.

I'm confused about the ability still. Will it have a ranged attack like a machine gun - 1 space...then be able to melee attack immediately after?

Will the melee attack afterwards require it to have blitz? Am I understanding this completely wrong?

Remember the mysterious axeman/tomahawk? I bet there's a new
line of units who shoot befiore melee. Impi could be an unique suchunit.

Other later ones could be for example grenadier and flamethrower.

I think it will only have one attack per turn, but that attack will consist of a 1-tile range attack (this is what I understand by 'mi-distance') followed immediately by a melee. So I don't think you would be able to, say, use the ranged attack on one unit and then immediately melee another.

Even that though, 1 ranged and 1 melee attack on a single unit without needing the blitz promotion is amazing.

So with blitz, it would be 4 total attacks on a single unit? Seems to powerful to me.

I would say, 1 turn, do the ranged. Next turn, melee. Or just do ranged over and over till you can melee for the win.

The wording does imply it's 2 attacks both available in the same turn ('a first attack from mid-range before engaging in melee')...
