There is an item of discussion on the table. Whether to 1) defend Washington with a purchased Minuteman, or 2) purchase it in Boston, where it would lose its free upgrade, kill the crossbow there and move toward Washington.

I would like to hear opinions from Citizens who undoubtedly are terrified with the Japanese atrocities in the countryside. Fortunately our city defenses have held thus far!

With the EO, I think if I were to issue a purchase order for a Minuteman unit in Washington, I also would need to declare an upgrade. Which one do we need as the first one?

Apparently some of us don't read the press reports as thoroughly as others. Should have been easy to figure out with the 3rd Company Pikeman desperately putting out fires and fighting japanese in the streets, but what can you do.

I say our new minutemen should be recruited in Washington and given training in rough terrain Drill, taking advantage of their movement bonus and because we have so many forests and jungles around.

I do agree with comrade darknight. We could then send 3rd company to finish the Boston japanese troops, as we'll have to clear Washington to purchase the minutemen.

Movement of troops: 3rd Company Pikeman to be deployed as National Guard in Boston. 2nd Company Pikeman to be deployed as National Guard in New York. 1st Company Pikeman to return the expedition to the nearest U. S. of A. border.

That would have been cool, but I'm not currently familiar with the map editor to be able to customize starting locations. Maybe in a future game.

I will see to it that the troops deployment follows the national interest. The order for 1st Company Pikemen shall therefore be to deploy as National Guard in Washington.

(This is contratry to purchasing a Minuteman there but will start the march of the Company to advance to defend the Nation instead of continuing the exploration...)

Fellow legislators. Our aim is to defeat the evil Japanese, but for some of the bills proposed, we need a General to whom I will issue the objectives stated in the bill proposed by TaintedTamt. Therefore, the bill is not actionable at this stage. I cannot deploy the troops that way without a General! I suggest you review your proposal. The other new bills are OK I suppose. If we establish a policy toward a foreign nation by law, then during the course of history, that will be duly enforced. With regard to producing Minutemen everywhere, it is OK, but at what precise position of the production queue will we place the Minuteman? That is still an open question, fine by me.

The bills as written would imply at the end of the queue, although you make a good point that more specificity in the future would certainly not be remiss.

Also, more importantly:

I declare my candidacy for the office of the President, under the banner of the America's Fist Party.

Not out of mutiny to Ceskari, nor out of a thirst for power, but because America deserves a choice. Although our president has been doing a fine job, the vigorous debate which surrounds a national election is vital to the well-being of a pluralistic society such as ours; even if the status quo is upheld by the results, America will be better for having solemnly considered its course. (Ooc: and seriously, what fun is a forum game if the guy in charge runs unopposed? )

I hereby declare to run a clean and decorous campaign, with further details to follow in the coming Congressional session. I hold no contempt for our president, and no will to sully his reputation -- I will trust he holds the same sentiment towards me.
