A New Dawn Beta Builds

The AI seems better in the early game. Everyone is close with score, power, and economy.
 
playing 1.6 don't know which beta and i've got three errors so far
error 1: the espionage screen only shows one faction and has no exit button despite the fact that i've discovered now 6 other factions
error 2: see sceenshot #2
error 3: all of my cities can no longer build buildings. The cities already building buildings had their production stopped and on the select production popup menu no buildings are available while in the city window all buildings are darkened as if unavailable

A really old beta, bugs 1 and 2 are fixed.
 
There is a late-game crash from Better AI .83 which causes a silent crash to desktop. Jdog is traveling, but when he gets back he'll post a fix.

Late game? I'm in the ancient era, just 10 Turns after founding judaism (lol) 970/4800 turns to be precise.

what is ispread and igrowth? what do they do.
 
what is ispread and igrowth? what do they do.

iGrowth is a tag used in Civ4FeatureInfos which controls how fast things like forests spread. iSpread is a new tag I added to Civ4FeatureInfos which does the same thing, except it ignores things that might block a feature from spreading, like improvements. Check my Modder's guide to full documentation to my new tags, the modiki for BTS tag documentation.

What does Wool do? It is not listed in the City Screen and the Sevopedia has little information on it (only how to get it).

What are these places generating: Apothecaries Guild, Artists Guild, Bakers Guild (#2), Carpenters Guild, Drapers Guild, and MoonBean Coffeeshop

Are these places generating what I think they are: Equestrians Guild (horse) and Masons Guild (marble)

Are there supposed to be two different Bakers Guilds?

Depleted Mine: Happening way too often! I have depleted my Copper three times now in one game.

In Sevopedia: Improvement: NONE - is that supposed to be there?

Coal UI: Seems to be missing some graphics (mini-icons in the hover over information in the main game screen). Ones that I have noticed: Obsidian, Tea, Wine,

Had a civ of a search and .82 is in rom 2.81 and the earlier betas, so i have got it.

Apothecaries Guild: Medicine (+1 health)
Artists Guild: Fairgrounds (+1 happy)
Glassblowers's Guild: Glass
Carpenters Guild: Carpentry (+1 hammers)
Drapers Guild: Cloth (+ 2 commerce)
MoonBean Coffeeshop: Cannabis.

Yes.

No. I messed up one text key. The second one is the Glassblower's guild.

Okay, well I'll take another look at the numbers. I reduced them in beta6 from beta5 quite a bit.

It's in RoM 2.81 too, I tried to figure out what was causing it, but gave up...

I am getting some weirdness - RoM 2.81 AND 1.60beta6.

1. Not all icons are appearing on the resource part of the city screen - pics 1 & 2
Yeah, unfortunately, I can't do anything until Zappara changes gamefonts for RoM 2.9.

Better AI is an entirely SDK based mod, you would need to edit the source files (in C++) to remove it, and good luck.

Better AI crashes are pretty rare, I'm sure they'll be fixed soon. If your crash isn't in the Industrial/Modern Era, it isn't because of Better AI.

Zappara still has not made a use for it yet.
 
As always Afforess, your responses are timely, if not always what i want to hear. My crash does have all of the symptoms described in the improved ai forums, however i an a little surprised that no one here has had the same.

If that is the case, is it possible for you to have a quick look at my log files? (previous page) i know you are busy, but this is my first crash with no error message so i have no real idea on how to proceed.

1) Beginning classical era research rate is too high, only 2-8 turns for everything.
2) In city screen, popup window with revolution details is not displayed on the revolution bar.
3) When you select the tech which required previously other tech then you discover this two tech simultaneously at the same turn

I did not have these problems in beta3.

you describe symptoms of beta 5...

did you reinstall beta 6 over a clean rom 2.81 version?

All these bugs are already fixed in the actual download...

I have had the issue sometimes, very rarely and never recurring. But when I play overlords I get it all the time.
 
first: great mod! Thanks for the effort.

then one question: I am not sure if this is intended but I can built the fish traps (?) in every city once I have the ressource in some city - should this not be limited to cities with coastal access or even only fish in the cross?

I hope I did not miss any previous post related to that question...

Actually, the can only be built on cities located on a river.
