The latest SVN reads -1 for me, and I don't recall changing it myself. Anyway, should be a moot point by now.
Well the bricks require clay for the Brick Mason. I have no idea where else they would fit in. The Egyptian wonders and Ziggrauts all occur at or around Masonry tech. Any earlier and it would be pre-Sedentary lifestyle, which would be much too early.

Well then you have the right place for brick invention I think, but when did we start using these rock hard bricks we have today?
Even in the industrial period sun dried bricks were used in buildings in the UK. Sun dried bricks have been used for along time, when a building with them caught fire you ended up with fired bricks as can be seen in some of the Babylonian zugurats (built with sun dried but some are fire damaged).
Well sure, no construction material has ever gone completely out of use. Even Adobe is still handy today (pun intended).
