I would liek to suggest that a list of the commands be made, and put up somwhere prominent like, to make sure people know them, such as hw one changes thier nick in chat by doing " /nick"- this arises from the fact that I have forgettoen hoe to use those commands to end chat (i was going toput smthing snippy in it to, that would make people, or at least civrules, if he was thewr ehave a little giggle ;)

of course not, i just left the standard way, when i dont have any snippy comments to make :p

I know there is a script in DSP2 that has it, but I am currently using mIRC patced with the NoNameScript.

Oh, I think I understand, like the tags that make letters bold?

So the [.b][/b.] tags, without the .'s? I would like this, it would remind me about all of them. Would be rather convenient . . .

No, like when you type /nick NEWNAMEHERE to change your name.

My advie Xen: go to #Help :P. No, really, JD is always there, and that's where I found out a lot of stuff (the rest from PCMWing GA).

i have mIRC and all the commands are in a convenient help file.

use

To change your name -- /nick <something>
To talk in the first person -- /me something
to register your nick -- /nickserv register REGISTER password email
To identify your nick /nickserv identify <password> (If you don't identify your name gets changed)
To join a channel --- /join #channel or type /list and join a channel
To join a server --- /server irc.irc-chat.net

Those are the 6 basic commands.

To page Chieftess and annoy her type -- (CT)
To page CivGeneral and annoy him -- (CG) or ($)

This is with nickserv mind you. Other ones include authserv (gamesurge), chanserv, botserv and memoserv (many others but I'm lazy).

On an Unrelated tangent...
To identify your nick /nickserv identify <password> (If you don't identify your name gets changed)

This never happens to me, why?

Anyhoo, Xen, you'd be better sending an e-mail to the makers of mIRC (even though you'll just be ignored ;)), i don't think TF could change it...

I think people are missing what i want- I think there should be a list in liek this area of the forums with all the commands one can use in chat, not somthing in chat itself...

You can always type /chanserv help, or /nickserv help. :)
