War preperations are starting. War may begin once i get my second immortal.
Spoiler :-2950 Complete the Wheel. Since I havent even met anyone yet, there doesnt seem to be any urgency for the military techs, so I head for Writing next. I have horses nearby, and there is another source of horses to the far east. Ivory is connected luxuries only have to be at 10% even with Salamanca at size 5. My 6 citizens are now 31% of the world population. All 3 rivals probably gained another citizen Persias and Egypts capital are both size 3.
-2900 My 6 citizens are now only 30% of the worlds population not sure who grew. I found another cow not too far away to the east.
-2850 Salamanca completes settler, starts settler. Based on what Ive seen so far, I generally want to expand east. However, I want to build a curragh soon, and the only cow on the coast is to the west, so the first settler heads toward the western cow. There will be another in 4 turns Luxuries to 0%, but my financial advisor warns me of impending doom in my Treasury due to my 1 gpt courtesy of the granary. My 5 citizens are now 29% of the worlds population (still first). The Egyptian capital dropped to size 1, so azzaman built a settler too, but it will be a while before his next one from the capital.
-2800 Geriatica completes worker, starts barracks. Im really not sure about that one if I dont make contact soon, I will probably change to granary. My 5 citizens are now only 27% of the worlds population, but thats OK I suspect I have more workers than everyone else (just completed my 4th), so eventually others will have to use their pop to make workers or suffer from horrible infrastructure. A barbarian is spotted near my exploring warrior to the north. My southern explorer finds more goody huts.
-2750 I find a barbarian camp in the north on top of furs a third luxury once I get there. My 6 citizens are 31% of the worlds population. Luxuries to 10% since Salamanca is size 5. On the IBT I watch as a barbarian slays my warrior on a hill grrrr. I know this game is supposed to be regent level, but we only get one content citizen I wonder if c_h changed the barbarian bonus as well it doesnt matter, I couldnt have done anything differently the hill was the best defensive terrain around anyway.
-2710 azzaman made contact with me on the IBT. He popped barbs from my goody hut. We agreed to trade Masonry (from him) for Bronze Working (from me). He said he is 3 turns from Alphabet and is interested in Iron Working. The only techs I have on him are Alphabet (which he will have soon) and Bronze Working. He is up Mysticism on me (he must have popped it). My military is weak compared to his (I only have 2 warriors now too bad I dont know what it was before my third got killed). He has 49 culture but only 31 in his capital. His second town must have built a temple, so he cant have too much military. He is currently building the Oracle. My 6 citizens are 31% of the worlds population, he has 26% (5 citizens).
Geriatica is changed to a warrior to replace the one who died. The town of Rebedia is founded on the western plains by the cow and starts a curragh it will be aided by a chop that I started 1-2 turns ago. Azzaman says he will research the top part of the tree (Math, Iron, Construction, etc.) while I research the center (Writing, Philosophy, CoL, etc.).
My vitals:
3 towns covering 37 tiles (2nd in land area)
7 citizens (35% of world's pop - 1st)
4 workers
2 regular warriors (weak compared to Egypt)
