Until Afforess returns, I'm setting a temporary beta build thread.
Here is RAND 1.76beta6alpha1, enjoy!

Rough version history:
  • Unit upgrade tree tweaks
  • Tons of AI improvements
  • Some speed improvements
  • Sulfur and ammo removed for faster late game play
  • Siege Workshop and Cannon Forge obsolete at appropriate techs now.

Is the Dido Bug fixed?

Not official.
I just happen to have access given by Afforess to SVN.
And no there's not Dido fix. I don't know about that. Need to wait for someone (Afforess or Koshling) to fix it, or alternately someone to tell me specifically what the problem is. If someone can tell me specifically, I can fix it if I can.
 
The game crashes when you scroll over Dido in the Civilopedia in the main menu.

It don't do that for me. So either it is your isolated computer problem or it was fixed somewhere along the line.
 
You should had saved with Maximum Compatible option. Then you can continue.

However, if you were playing with the version without that option, then you just have to give up on that old game and start fresh.
 
Weird because when I removed sulphur and ammo from the game, I had a game ongoing. I used Max Comp save and it worked.
Guess it doesn't for your case.

Then you have two options:
  • Return to your original version you were playing with and continue the game, then upgrade to this version after you are done with it.
  • Or just start a new game.
 
Thank you very much for providing this service, it really avoids some hazzle.
 
did anyone tried to play this version in multiplayer? How is the synchronisation?
 
The revolutions mod conciders all citys that are not on the same landmass as your capital colonys, this is rather anoying on archipelago maps as most of your citys will be on a different island than your capital, maybe change it so that citys that are connected via culture are never concidered colonys.

Just guessing:
Possibly extremely busy with school. Plus a little of burn out. I'm sure he will be back eventually.

Is this going to cause problems?

Where I'm comfortable tweaking, yes.
I don't tweak everything that everyone suggest here because 1) I disagree or 2) they are not really very clear about what they want. Then 3) because I don't have skills for that specific tweak(s) that I agree.
