A Thread Dissappeared

A thread seems to have utterly dissappeared from OT... "Creatino vs. Evolution." Now, I don't really care, it was a stupid thread (IMO the Creationism threads always are, but this one was made by a possibly DL troll whose only posts were trying to continue us in the debate we'd abandoned in the other such threads).

I am just wondering if a Mod deleted the first post and killed the thread? I was in the middle of replying to it when it vanished...

Isn't been closed and the last post in it was on Dec 5th, so it's probably several pages down now.

Edit: Sorry, that was the first thread with that topic. After re-reading the first post of this thread it sounds like he is talking about a new thread being started about the same thing. If that is the case, I would think it probably got caught up in TF's sweep.

YEah this was a newer thread, started by Msustaita (5 posts, all on that thread) or some kind of name like that, and it had the misspelling "Creatino vs. Evolution" in the title.

It was wierd, he had just written and I had been responding to the thread when I closed the window, then couldnt reestablish a link to the thread...

Spam and useless threads are rountinly deleated, no need to come here asking about them, like ALL useless threads, they vanish, along with the posts in them.

That thread was an error, the next 20 posts were people laughing at the error, and that means------DELEATED.

I came in asking because I had never seen that happen (it happened while I was in the middle of responding) and I was curious. I don't care what threads/posts you delete, and I have stated above several times I knew it was a spam thread. I just wondered what happened. No worries.

It may be invisable at the bottom of the first forum page. One quirk I have notice in Ubb/VBB is that if there are anouncements on the forum, and equal number of thread are hidden at the bottom of the first page, and you will not see themm again until they get pused to page 2. Since they are thread of limited posted interest (in order to drop to the bottom of the first page) it often goes unnoticed.

That is good info, Lefty, which I will keep in mind when searching in the future, but AoA had just said above that he deleted the thread.

And at the time I was responding to it, Msutaita had just made a post so it would have been up near the top of the page.

It is possible that this quirk has be fixed by update by now. I have not notice a thread in the described condition for some time.
