This video was pieced together using scenes from various movies showing what may be the outcome of current geopolitical tensions between the great powers like US, Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, India, Pakistan, and others. We are all in the same boat. So, let's not sink it to the abyss.

IT shows how unrealistic modern warfare in Civilization is. It shows that after a nuclear war nobody will be left to be the victor or the loser. And with modern Thermonuclear Warheads bomb shelters will not help, no mater how deep they are.

Venezuela is not a nuclear power, nor is it a great power.

I think the whole video, while certainly nice eye candy and great editing, is far from reality. The world isn't going to just "end" one day with people walking the street wondering "hey what's with the rocket?"

So basically, I hated the video.

I have only posted this video to show how unrealistic nuclear war in Civ is.
It was not meant to entertain but to provoke thought! It is dangerous to get the wrong idea about modern atomic & H-bomb warfare.

As for the OP VId, not many videos like this. I liked It. The best was see'n clips of the nukes rising . Visions of impending doom can't be summed up much better even with these days gadgits.

Where were the scenes taken from apart Terminator 1 and 2?

The mother/kid on the payground, LA getting nuked and the skeleton on the fence are Terminator 2. I think the scene from space showing various impacts is Term3.

John Lithgow and the scene at the stadium is fromThe Day After, as is the pullback scene with the EMP burst over the city (KC in the movie).

I believe there was a little Armageddon in there with the scenes of rocks hitting various buildings and the scene of the Arc de Triomphe (sp?).

The helicopter getting hit in the blast front is from The Sum of All Fears, as is one nuke explosion.

Thats all I can ID.

Facts :

- This little piece shows how fishy were the special effects used in early 90's for Terminator 2.

- The Sum of All Fear, really sucked.

- Where are all the submarines launching missiles!

- If the person behind that video was really meaning it, He would have put more footage from other places in the world other than the US. I don't think the Arc de Triomphe and that other place (looked like India) stand for the rest of the planet.

- Requiem for a Dream, (the music used) is an awesome movie.

Thanks, I will make a note to watch them - they all look pretty scary. The scenes from the Russian TV seem to be taken from some military program about nukes.
