Yep. Not the least bit sorry either. Even 90 mins of cutscenes is quite a bit. I will admit there is some really cool features in the game that look interesting but I am not a big cutscene person and I know how MGS was in 1 and 2. each had a point where I was like "FFS Come ON!" I have patience and all that and if it was an RPG I would be a little more lenient. But MGS isn't even close to a RPG. When you are in control of the charactor, you are suppose to kill anything moving on the screen. FOr that you don't need anymore than maybe 30 mins worth of cutscenes (max) and some dialogue running audible as SFX while you run around.
In 4 they may have it so that their are guys with guns that are on your side, but all that is IMO is just AI "helpers" floating around. There is no storytelling like in RPGs, where charactors exist in the game world meant for conversational purposes more than anything else.
Uncharted isn't as good as I had hoped for, but I was told it only holds around 8 hours of play, so once I beat it I will probably then take it to gamestop and trade it in towards resistance 1. I figure by the time I beat both of those and perhaps army of two it should be pretty close to fall. This fall is just going to be awesome for the PS3. Really for gaming in general, but the ammunition coming out for PS3 this fall has me pumped. Resistance 2 looks freakin sweet. (The one I am most pumped for) Little Big Planet also is one I am curious about, plus a few others. And to top it off Alpha protocol is scheduled to come out in February which for me feels like an "end" to the awesome gamespike coming up. (Which I am more pumped up for than Resistance 2) ANd I will be fitting in some CoD4:MW in between all that.
By the time I will be interested (if ever) in MGS4, it will have had a couple price drops and I will check it out.
Is it true that sony live(or w/e its called) is free to play games, that would be another big plus because i don't want to pay for both xbox live and sony live.
I haven't tried it out yet. But I heard the same thing. But I hear Xbox lives has a more inuitive and comfortable connection process. I hear PS3's is kind of clunky. I will try it out this week and post about it although I have never used Xbox live so I may be ok with it.
