Do any of you know the band Adagio?
I find their brand of symphonic speed metal fascinating. They can best be described as something along the lines of Symphony X (vocals and perhaps rythms) and Angra (stylistically, compare: Rhapsody) with a boosted symphonic side.
On the album "Underworld" they vary greatly from the grandiose choral intro of "Introitus" to the symphonically rich speed metal sound of "Next Profundis".
