Your french is good enougth to be readable, especially the last sentence. Translators are making progresses every day. As you can guess, I'm not a declared ennemy of USA/English speaking populations in general, I even studied english litterature. (Wendy Cope takes acid every day of her life, or she produces it inside her brain)

Back on topic : I think the main debate was around fascistic references in this mods, and more specifically the inclusion, or not, of a specific figure of history in this mod.

I'm still very opposed to his inclusion, but agree that Stalin should go with him in the limbos, where they could debate the merit of their methods. I haven't spotted any other comparable leader, are there any more ? Richelieu is a little dubious, he mistreated religious minorites I think, can't remember which ones.

Regarding references to fascism in general, non-specific ones, like 'national parade grounds', seems OK to me, and in a general way I think specific torture camp and other similar things (goulags/whatever) shouldn't be in the mod, even for the sake of realism.

I already made a reeducation center building, which can be interpeted as a the Gulag for Russia, even though in the pedia, I exclusively referenced the Chinese practice of "reeducation through labor." I do not plan on going further than that, I would rather leave atrocities to the imagination of the user, such as razing a city.

No, it's not ignorance, it's a sign of good taste and liability. A sign of having learned that that stuff is bad for the people as having experienced personally what it leads to.

I have not issues with people having personal "good taste," my issue is with liability (both official an unofficial). Laws which enforce political correctness amount to killing free speech. Black balling people who break the "political correct covenant" creates a chilling effect. All political correctness does is stifle free speech, which is the very thing needed to make sure people learn from the past so that it is not repeated.
