The games I'm currently looking at are Amnesia: the Dark Descent, Alter Ego, Dark Falls: Lost Souls, and Dracula: Origins, as they're all on sale on Steam at the moment. Tell me your thoughts of any of them you've played.

Amnesia is pretty good and definately worth getting, IMO. I'm not going to spoil it for you but it's definately creepy. :goodjob:

The other ones I haven't played. I've thought about getting Alter Ego though.

I would recommend Call of Cthulhu: Dark corners of the Earth, it has a great atmosphere, Vampire:Bloodlines as well.

On the subject of adventure horror, the original American McGee's Alice comes to mind. It scared the pants off of middle school me. Not to mention, the sequel is coming out, so it'd be a great time to give it a go.

But that's not really adventure game in the sense of the thread. It's action - lots of combat, jumping and running with a horror theme.
But yea it was great !
