Now the girl's dating a freshman! And some of my friends are distancing away from me! And I am going to get screened for autism! And some jerks at my school are being more of jerks to me!


And the Quiz Bowl nationals tournament is this weekend!

That does make it tough. But if each person is committed to the goal, just you do your own part, despite their "distancing." A win, with you contributing your part, might draw them back.

I’d say give up on the girl.

The more you idealize a person, the deeper their flaws will ultimately seem, and you will come to the realization that perfection is only illusory.
