Age of Colonisation

Well, there is a spy action that sabatoges the PRODUCTION o improvements/buildings, but not already built biuldings.
Great mod though imporator1961, but one question, how do you add those arrows in the civilization advances screen that show which advance is a prerequesite to another?
Thanx.

You're right MM. I cannot yet edit the arrows in the civ advances because I'm still working on it. Only when I realize that all the advances (for all the civs!) are done competely I will make the arrows. ;)

You have to manually edit the background files located in art\Advisers

Of course, you should copy the files over to your mod folder first ;)

Yes Virote. I have made this work some month ago, but then I have changed all the graphics and the arrows are lost. So I have decided to add the arrows only when all the others things (Civ advances, graphics) are set up and I dont' work too many times for the same thing.

Hi, this seems like a nice mod, I love the era very much.
However I just downloaded the mod and when I tried to extract it I got the following message:Tac Zip: the archive is corrupt.
Does anyone else have the same problem!

Hi Bosh. I upload a new version of Mod today. If you can wait some hours you will have the updated version. ;)

To manually modify the art means that you need to get a graphics program right? and is adding the arrows a lot of work?

Yes. I have modified many graphics from the original game. Of course I have used a graphic program. There are many graphic programs, I have Photoshop and Paint Pro Shop, but I love use a free program: The Gimp. If you want and need more informations, there are some tutorials in the Tutorials, Reference, & Guides:

Cutting and Pasting with GIMP (Step by step Improvement creation)

Adding the arrows is not a difficult thing, but some time is needed. You can learn some here:

Nope. You definitely need something which is made to edit graphics. The three favorites around here are The Gimp, Photoshop and Paintshop Pro.

If you're strapped for cash, The Gimp is free. :)

Me thinks that would be an inefficient, it's pretty limited editing plus I don't remember if it can read .pcx For basic editing use Microsoft Photo Editor. For more advanced stuff do like he suggests and use the Gimp (just google it)

x-post gallore. I forgot I'd had this tab open a while... :crazyeye:

Uh oh, BIG problem: I downloaded the latest patch (v. 1.22) and now the game won't start! Keeps on saying 'please insert the civ3 conquests disk and retart application' I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO! PLEASE HELP!

Have you CIV III Conquest original?;)

You didn't install it over Civ3Complete, did you? (Since it is already patched up to 1.22, and requires a different disk, I guess it could pose problems...)

I DO have civ3 complete.:crazyeye:

OK. Since CIV III Complete is patched to 1.22 version I think you need to reinstall the game. Not cancel the folders so you dont' dowload the Mods you have.
