Semi related question: is it possible to melee unit enbared to directly attac the city from the sea?
If yes i live my life wrong for so long time!
I think something looks amiss too. Unless the landship was aboard the cargo ship.
I want to know too. I hope author of this thread replies./
Edit: i know now
To people that says it was an embark attack.
Please try to explain it away because if it was an embark attack, it would be attacking as transport ship graphic.
Problem with your waving it away as embark attack is that I actually bothered to watch teh action when It's not my turn. I watched the frakkin landship move from hex 1 to hex 2 to hex 3 and finally hex 4 and attack on same hex where my Mech infantry is and vulture the city out from me.
I'm still too angry to log onto civ 5 maybe tomorrow hope the autosave isn't deleted by then cuz I saved one turn later.
... and I only see a couple of screenies. There are autosaves, quicksaves, normal saves. I mean how hard could it be. But as long as there is a save, the only thing we can do is guess and the two most prominent guesses has already been put on the table, either the embarked unit or the invisible unit (or a combination of the two). Sure it can be a bug, but even if it is a bug, a save would be good.
The thing here is that the Human can under no circumstances ever attack a city with a melee unit that is already surrounded by 6 melee units. It is impossible to attack a city in one turn with 7 Pikemen, and the AI in this situation did basically that. It's a timing issue as well as how we observe the AI move units may not be how the turns are being played. Human players can also break 1UP when a 2nd unit pops in a city with a unit already in place. You just can't hit next turn until you move your unit.
If you don't believe him, why even post in this thread? To call him a liar?
