AI Personality

I should have called this post Civ is racist. Look at how all the English and American leaders all have 7+.

The English unique building becomes available in the Rennaisance, and their unique unit in the industrial age. The American unique unit and unique building both become available in the modern age.

Both of those civilizations work best as relatively peaceful builders. Their leaders' traits are also not really conducive to warmongering.

there are certain tendencies, and a good player should know them. I am not a programmer, so I don't know exactly how the AI decides his tactics, but by comparing the information given in the AI-leader file, one can see that Monty , Usually, is a lot less friendly than Gandhi.

very true. my first random personality game i figured out that QSH was Gandhi in disguise so early it was kind of disappointing! it cracks me up to Alex ranked as such a bad neighbor. i hear folks complain about him constantly, i know he's a bad guy typically, but i have never had a problem with him. i love meeting him early and grooming him as my attack dog *giggle*.

all the diplomacy junk drove me NUTS when i started civ4, i was sure i'd never figure it out ever ever. not that there aren't things i'd change if i was queen of the world, mind you, but i do understand the ins and outs now, thanks to the help of ori and others. you guys rock :)

Ragnar: Someone mentioned Ragnar in another post as being a top baddie. In my list he is lower down. This is because he rarely betrays those he like, he likes to trade and he doesn't make demands that often.

Can't say as I'm playing Vanilla.

Isabella: Not a cow, but a lady. Not among the worst because she won't attack you if you can get along with her, and because she doesn't react violently to shared borders.

Definately cow due to her religious fanaticism. If you have the same religion as her, she'll be happy... until she founds another religion and shifts. The you oughta be ready for a DoW.

Mansa: Seems like a nice guy, why isn't he at the top? Well, mainly it is betrayals. He rarely goes to war, and he is easy to get along with. But if the decision to go to war is made his respect of friendship is average.

...Doesn't seem like a friendly guy at all. In most of my games including him, he's been annoyed at me, DoWing me... Christ, he even had gandhi DoW me once - what's that supposed to mean! He is definately not near the top in my scale. Better leave him entirely out of the game. :p

It means you are the worst neighbor of them all. :)

If I find time this week I might post another list. Thinking of making it about which of the AIs is the best tacticians.

Swing, got BtS and have been busy playing :)
I agree on the Ragnar analysis - he is loyal, but aggressive.
And Mansa Musa is a bastard if you aren't:
1) Very good friends and religious buddies with him
2) Powerful

Once again, military power means alot.

I don't think that should be too difficult... I'll do that over the weekend.

I never specified *which* weekend did I :mischief:
The file with the spreadsheets for all three versions is now uploaded (link in my sig) :scan:
Thanks again to karlkrlarsson for compiling this

:newyear:

Thanks Ori. I haven't done what I have promised either. I still feel this is an underdeveloped issue, perhaps I will do something when I have more time. When I retire perhaps.
