Ajax - Az'67 1-0

Ajax - Roda JC 1-1. It was a reasonable match, played before Celtic-Ajax. Too bad it didn't turn out in a win for Ajax.

I'm just wondering, is this Celtic team's name pronounced properly, as in "Keltic?" Or is it like the US basketball team's "Seltic"?

It's for some strange reason 'Seltic'. It would make sense if it were 'Keltic', since it's a Scottish club, but they named it 'Seltic'.
Celtic's enemy, the Rangers, didn't qualify for the Championsleague.

Ajax plays its first leg in the first round of the UEFA cup against Apollon Limassol from Cyprus. The first leg is in Amsterdam, and my prognosis is a 8-1 win for Ajax.

Of course I'm with Apollon <IMG SRC="http://www.virtuallandmedia.com/img2/flags-4/asia/CYP.GIF" border=0> but I now they have no chance. I say 5-1. <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/frown.gif" border=0>

Celtic are Scottish champions who are managed by Martin O neill who used to manage leicester who lost 5-0 to Bolton at home last Saturday. Bolton were favourites to go down so what does that make Leicester.

Man United are the best etc. I am sorry but PSV will surely win the dutch league because they have too many quality players...

PSV lost 3-1 yesterday against Willem II! They were a disaster in their 3 matches! First, FC Groningen, 2nd year in the highest division, 2-2 with luck. Then, FC Den Bosch, will relegate this season, PSV wins 2-3 after Den Bosch scores 2-1 (for D.B.). Now, PSV loses 3-1 of Willem II, a mediocore club!

Today, 13.00, Feyenoord-Ajax.

It will be played in 2 weeks.

Ajax just beat their bloodrival Feyenoord in the Feyenoord stadium with 2-1! Ajax played a very, very good match, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, that came in the field in the 61st min., scored the 0-1 in the 63rd min. In the 69' Hatam Trabelsi, Ajax' right back, was send of the field with a red card (it wasn't a foul, you blind ref!). In the 83rd minute Rafael van der Vaart, Ajax' super talent, scored the 0-2. In the 94th minute, that damn Danish motherf*cker Thomasson scored 1-2. But Ajax won!!!!

I know I'm late with this post, but Ajax sold their striker Shota Arveladze for about 8-10 million guilders (that's about 4-5 million US Dollars and about 3 million Pound) to the Glasgow Rangers. This probably means that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is gonna be the top striker, together with Nikos Machlas.

Today: FC Twente - Ajax
Sept. 13: Ajax - Apollon Limasol

Theres still a whole season for PSV to start winning...just you wait and see. At least yyou don't live in a country where Bolton are top and Everton are second...arghhhh

Well, there's more season for Manchester UTD, Arsenal, Liverpool and Leeds to start winning in England, so......

To be honest, I hope PSV will not start winning! One less concurrent for Ajax. But PSV should win in the Championsleague, Holland needs points to stay ahead of Russia, Greece and Turkey.

In a game in which Ajax played a non-Dutch non-Ajax kind of football, the defence looked great for the first time in years. The system now used, which is the system used in all the great football countries as Italy, Spain, England and Germany, is not made to score as much as you can, but to not get any goals against and score from a counter. The FC Twente supporters and players were angry because Ajax played like this, and called it anti-football, but they forget that only the Dutch are stupid enough to wanna play beautiful instead of effective. It seems like Ajax is the first one to grow up.

1. Feyenoord 4-9
2. Vitesse 4-8
3. Ajax 3-7

This is the top 3, the first number is the games played, the second is the number of points. Both Feyenoord and PSV won 3-0, but PSV didn't impress anyone with how they played. It took 'em 53 minutes to score the first goal against an opponent that was #18 (last position) for more than 20 matches (34 total) last year, and they didnt improve themselves. It seems like PSV isn't ready for the first test, in a few days against Nantes for the Championsleague. About Ajax we don't have to talk: Apollon Limasol can't be a problem......

Well Manchester United won 4-1 against EVerton with Veron scoring his first league goal
smile.gif
This now puts Man UTD second in the league but stupid Bolton are still top after they just defended against Leeds away and manmaged to just get a 0-0 draw...

When Bolton should enjoy being top of the league because I have a feeling they will not be there at the end of the season..

Ajax - Az'67 of last sunday was a very dull game. Az played too defensive and Ajax didn't get enough chances to score. After the radio already reported a 0-0, Rafael van der Vaart scored the 1-0 in the 93rd minute.

The UEFA-cup game against Apollon Limassol will be played next thursday. We all know why they didn't play last week as planned......
