maybe send ships to starve to size 1 so we can get it in a peace deal. We just need to make sure the capital doesn't go there before we get it

i just tried with my original save and this one, both seem ok to me, I can start the game, you gave me a fright since I do not have any backup
 
Recon: MM the cities. It's a little sloppy in that we're building military in cities with CE's and that we've got surplus food in cities without hospitals. Note we're close to domination limt, may need to abandon something. Please don't build any more cultural buildings, factories or hospitals (unless you want to spend lots of time cleaning up pollution).

1772: Organize the troops. Cancel the RoP with Gil. Do an immediate steal of ironclads from Theo. Our spies are too good and they get it.

1774: Immediate steal of combustion from Theo fails and we're at war. Raze Iconium and Amorium.

1776: Raze Septum.

1778: Declare on Sumeria. Raze New Lagash, New Sumer, New Ur, Kutallu, uskadur, Kutha, Nagsu, Erech.

1780: Raze Sumer, Aydin, Constantinople, Erech (again), Kutha

1782: Raze Akshek, Lagash, Der

1764: Agade, Kish, Susa, Kissura swim with the fish

1788: After numerous failures, finally plant spy on Theo and steal combustion.

1790: WW problems. make peace with Theo, get Ancyra in the deal and abandon it.

Been at this for 4+ hours. Will probably play 11 to try and get peace with Sumeria. Will also MM and clean up for the next person. Save to follow. Sumeria is on 6CC at the moment.

that's a little contradiction, but I agree with you. no more such stuff, in fact I set a lot of builds to military since there isn't much to build unless we want to amass culture for our whole empire by building lib, unis?

this is MM galore as predicted and 4 hours sound insane for 10 turns. But, you cleared the land. how many more turns to 20k?
 
here's the save. the people are happy and we're still at war with Sumeria. next player should consider a navy to keep the expected settler landings under control.

we simply can't build anymore culture or we're going to get border expansions that will put us over the dom limit. Watch that. May need to abandon a city or two. In the same line of thought, we can't keep any cities that we capture.

Re the city builds. go for the economics stuff that doesn't generate culture. Markets, CH, banks, stocks. Don't build factories or the MM will get even worse.

I got a little bored so I started to change some mined tiles to irrigation to max the pop.

The forces need to be relocated to Sumeria northern remains

What can I say. My turns were relatively uneventful. I got an MGL, killed all but 1 Sumerian City, disbanded 2 of our towns.
We need something like 11 tiles to win.
The MM was kinda nuts, even for a fast player like me.
We need Marines, as Sumeria has a 1 tile island for their last city.
This may make it back to me, but I doubt it. It needs about 45 turns to win a 20K.
This game is getting tedious but it is in the homestretch now.

I have no objection to putting any slaves on Shift A to relieve the tedium. i thought it was tedious too, that's why I went to war. viper's up.
 
I'm still battling the F1 Screen. I might be able to get around it soon if I get an answer in a thread I asked in. If you don't mind waiting for... I'd imagine it wouldn't be longer than a day, then I could play this.

Yes, rrau is up and F1 still isn't working.

The problem is triggered when there are lots of cities and units. We certainly have those here...

Notes:

we're currently 32 tiles from Domination.

I didn't go to war with the Byzantines as we need them to come up with a couple more techs if we want to try for the triple victory condition. I think it's doubtful as the last sumerian city is on a 1 tile island and Byzantines haven't even researched mass production yet :( .
