Akinator, the web genius (browser game)

Wow, he even got Carl Friedrich Gauß correct.

:)

And he got Leonhard Euler after 20 for me as well. He pulled it out the bag with "Is he Swiss?" as the last question.

It doesn't work for me--when I start, all I get is an empty quote bubble.

I believe the site has way too much traffic at the moment.

Failed the first two (Les Claypool and Giorgia Todrani), but he got Giuseppe Garibaldi, t was pretty cool. Maybe it's better with historical figures?

Question 6: Is your character a porn actor?

When you told me that it has pictures I tried to get it to guess Elisha Cuthbert.

Not bad at all. It got a few semi-obscure ones, and usually when it gets it wrong it's close. A few bloody odd ones, though. :p

Edit: Actually, it's bloody good. Sometimes it asks a whole bunch of daft questions and gets it. Also, I'm slightly addicted.

I thought of Ireland's taoiseach (PM) Brian Cowen and it guessed the Netherlands PM. I said yes to '' does he currently live in the country you're in?". Jan Peter Balkenende lives in Ireland?

He was the 17th result on the list at the end.

stumbled across this one today: http://en.akinator.com/# and I am pretty impressed I must say. He got Jed Bartlet, Sarah Silverman, Stephen Colbert, Silent Bob, Jack Bauer, Earl (of My Name is Earl), Eric Cartman, Wolverine, Daniel Negreanu and even Farin Urlaub (singer of Germany's Die Ärzte) in 20 questions or less.

wow he sucks he hasnt got ONE right....not even close

EDIT: I started doing easy ones..historical figures.he got Napoleon Bonoparte

I added Eugen Slutsky. Best. Name. Ever.

Didn't get Epaminondas.

He got Tony Romo...how? Especially with the vague questions he was asking...

EDIT: Holy hell he got Chun-Li too. I NEED TO KICK IT UP A NOTCH.

I had Kublai and he guessed Genghis. So close. :( Also, apparently no one had ever tried Eugene of Savoy?

He's never heard of Matthew Smith (manic miner programmer) either.

EDIT; I do like the response for clicking on no always ("A smartass who always clicks on No"). He got it right ;)

EDIT2: Whoah, it got Kate Bush as well despite hardly asking any relevant questions.

EDIT2: Whoah, it got Kate Bush as well despite hardly asking any relevant questions.

It got Stephen Hawking in 20 purely on the basis of his being English and not a singer, actor, sportsman or politician.

(How come this thing could get Disney's Aladdin, Augustin Louis Cauchy and the Black Hat Man in under 20 questions, but not Gordon Brown?)

If I think of a male and answer "No" it works, but it gets lost after I answer "Yes" on the first question whether my character is female

Maybe I shouldn't think of a woman
