At last Equestria's exploration had led them to the Great and Powerful Mr.House.

Equestria's Royal Expedition to the west came upon another ruin of the old world. There they found a holotape which emitted a recorded voice "I, I thought things were supposed to get better. That is what he kept telling us. That all we needed to do was wait a little longer; hold on just a little longer and everything would be better for everyone. But we are still in an unwinnable war with the communists and our economy is still in shackles. 'The Great Wall of Texas a truly American Ideal' That is what it was supposed to be but now, now the economy is even worse than it was before, and we still have the mongols breathing down our necks. I don't know how much more the nation can take it, I just hope this all ends soon."

The Royal Boarder Patrol came upon another group of barbarians trying to illegally enter Equestria.

The Barbarian shouted "It's over Boarder Patrol! I have the high ground."

The slaves that the Royal Expedition had taken were transferred to Ponyville custody. Equestria still wasn't entirely sure what to do with them.

The refugees that had traveled with the Expedition were sent further north to resettle in Salt Lick City. Despite the city being dangerously close to the Master's Super Mutant army it was at the very least perceived to be secure.

Equestrian scholars had uncovered the the secrets of making guns fire faster. So fast in fact that some might say they were automatic.

A catch of these such weapons were found nearby.

Ponyville had time for the finer things in life. Like not getting eaten by radscorpions and not getting their jobs taken by illegal barbarians. As a celebration of this fact construction of school was ordered. A school where young ponies could be taught of these great accomplishments.

Despite this there were some in ponyville who weren't just happy being alive. They needed more.

After years of scavenging through the wastes the proper use of fission based batteries had been found. No longer were they widely used as door stops and toilet plungers.

The Master threatened to go to war with Equestria UNLESS Equestria gave them instruments to wage war.

The Followers of the Apocalypse showed off the awesome power of their mohawks.

Equestria came into contact with Vault! Vault stronk!

The Master later made several thinly veiled threats.

As Equestria came into contact with more and more foreign powers the need for diplomatic technique came into being.

A perimeter of Automated Turrets had been established in New Canterlot to provide peace, justice, and security for New Equestria.

Development had begun on the lands south of ponyville.

The Brotherhood Scandal

Up until this point and time Equestria's first contact with foreign powers has largely gone off without incident. Everything changed when the Brotherhood of Steel contacted Equestria's envoy.

Wild Catapults Appeared!

Celestia decided that enough was enough. She had, had it with these monkeyfighting slaves in this mondaytofriday ponyville. She was about to sell some slaves.

New Vanhoover was founded. The Master was confirmed to be "Super Jelly"

Mr House revealed his true thoughts about Equestria.

A week after being founded the ponies of New Vanhoover were rightfully asking to join the Great Khans.

Mundane Circumstances

While Equestria had existed for a good long while outside the relative safety of its vault it still had to undergo the dangers of day to day life in the wasteland. Looking back on these events they really didn't seem all that interesting or relevant. Who is to say which horse should or shouldn't be on your currency?

Why would any wastelander care that an odd semi-isolated nationstate took up the mantle of bureaucratic governance, allowing free trade with its neighbors and yet encouraging safety all at the same time.

It hardly seems relevant that their expeditionary force kicked in the door of yet another raider foothold

In retrospect though this tidbit doesn't really make sense. Since their first meeting there had been hostility between the Super Mutants and Equestria.

Evidently the government had plans to expand it reach to an area between its western boarder and the hinterlands.

Despite the looming threats of the wasteland Equestria shifted its focus away from defense and started under taking various civic projects.

Equestria still reeling from their last contact with the Brotherhood flatly denied their request for open boarders. There were concerns over what the brotherhood would do with such unrestricted access.

The Royal Expedition was able to get its first good glimpse at the outlying territory of Mr House's New Vegas.

Slave trade from the destroyed raider bands of the west continued to flow into legion territory.

And then horse medicine. It is not known how it is relevant. But it can be inferred it is.

Equestria came into contact with another band of mutants. These one did not claim to be super though.

The Royal Expedition had finally arrived in the Rumored city of New Vegas. They expected to see one of the greatest cities of the world, preserved from the atomic fire which had consumed so mush else. What they got was a series of loading screens and underpopulated casinos.

They later went on raider killing adventures in outer vegas.

In show of Military might the Republic of Dave demanded that Equestria cede money to them.

Scholars in Equestria were really getting into feudal techniques and medieval jargon for a time. It is unknown why. Equestria's age old Monarchy was also restored during this period.

Equestria's plan to expand into Lookout Point was finally ready to be put into action. However the Great Khan's had already founded a settlement in the area.

These settler's were forced to either return home or head out into the only unclaimed land in the region, the hinterlands.

Equestrian delegates later met with Enclave representatives in New Vegas. No one knows for sure what happened that night.

The following day the son of one the NCR's biggest Brahmin Barons had gone missing. There are rumors that the Enclave and Equestria had apparently pinned the blame on to one of the casinos. There was never any solid evidence linking either nation to the disappearance.

Princess Celestia was not impressed with the NCR President's presentation and decided instead to press on ahead with the development of equine based radios.

In the ruins of outer vegas the Royal expedition continued hunting down raiders.

The Republic of Dave, despite technically being neutral toward the Equestrian Monarchy, had made attempts to export democracy to the pony nation.

The scholars of Equestria decided to attempt some old world engineering classes. They immediately regretted the decision.

The Enclave had requested Equestrian assistance against the ghoul nation. At least that is what they wanted them to think.

The estranged settlers had finally arrived in the hinterlands to found the new settlement of Ponyta. A name which they had requested be changed to anything else. After their requests were ignored they asked to join New Vegas.

In show of strength the Brother of Steel unveiled their newest technological breakthrough.

Equestria had begun developing more and more old world techniques and technologies. Some ponies thought they shouldn't want to go back to tomorrow. That they should want to move forward. But not past the back.

Equestria's Royal Expedition to the west came upon yet another ruin of the old world. There they found a holotape which emitted a recorded voice "It just drags on. We've been pushing for so long and barely made any progress. In best of times we are still seen as second class citizens; while in worst case scenarios we are slaves in all but name. I need to get back out West. I've heard the stories, I know things aren't much better there. But there at least we have a numeric advantage there. At least we are still technically a nation there."

In trade negotiations with the Brotherhood of Steel, Equestria agreed to exchange their knowledge of Engineering for the Brotherhood knowledge of microfusion cells.

Pony scientists found the concept of microfusion cells to be somewhat small compared to their other scientific breakthroughs.

The NCR Inspection

Continuing on the Royal Expedition charted NCR territory.

President Kimball reminded Equestria that when they were the NCR to look behind them.

In unrelated news Equestria was deemed the least safe and in fact most dangerous faction in the wasteland.

Upon their arrival at Vault 101 Equestria was not granted access. The overseer needed a doctor not a pony.

The Ghouls had brought a very real and serious threat to the attention of Princess Celestia. She certainly did not almost immediately disregard what the ghoul had said. Neigh, she did in fact immediately disregard what the ghoul said.

For years the raiders of the wasteland had been meticulously hunted down by "civilized" factions of the continent. During all of that time they had been waiting, watching, wa-planning. Preparing for the moment that they could reveal themselves. For the moment that they could have their revenge. This Fall. The Royal Expedition is: Killing Raiders

If you thought it was over than you were dead wrong. This Winter, coming only to holotape. The raiders are back and out for blood. The Royal Expedition is: Killing Even More Raiders

The NCR had requested Equestria's assistance in their war against Equestria's biggest trading partner, the Legion.

Back on the homefront raiders were threatening the trade routes which were in dispute.

Because one movie was more than enough and two is too low. Just when you thought that after years of fighting in the wasteland the stallions of Equestria were ready to hang up the rifle and settle down. They're back and ready to kill even more raiders. This Fall, coming only to holotape. The Royal Expedition is: Murdering Every Last Raiders

Heavy Weapons development had started in Equestria.

In the Spring of 2146 the Royal Expedition had planned to finally go bowling, and possibly eat together later. However on this faithful day they were attacked by a group of rogue Protectrons. Being unprepared for the attack the Expedition suffered immense initial casualties. Broken, yet still willing the remaining members were able to destroy the protectrons before their unit was completely routed.

Having narrowly survived the engagement the remaining Guards had gained valuable combat experience.

New Canterlot had begun construction of the Thunderbowl.

The super mutants continued to make their intentions towards the Equestrian government clear.

Ponykind had gained its first luxury resource since before the war.

Elsewhere the ghouls had been subjugated by the Enclave.

Nopony knew for sure how far the Enclave's reach truly extended. None the less Celestia began to keep a closer eye on them.

The War of Super Mutant Aggression

The great leader of the Super Mutant nation The Master addressed his nation: "For years a problem has tormented all of us. As you know we have been able to thrive through the conversion of the weak into our one master race. We took those that would otherwise have their differences tear themselves apart and made them to serve better a purpose, a Unity. But there are those resistant to this change. Resistant to our race. As always I have attempted to threaten them into giving us all of their gold but they have time and time again denied my more than reasonable proposals. We will eradicate those unable or unwilling to join our one race. Race! Race! We will destroy these weak minded equines and continue to move forward to our destiny. Destiny."

With that Super Mutants and their ally, the Followers of the Apocalypse, declared war on Equestria vowing to destroy all of pony kind.

Equestria immediately stopped building broadcast towers everywhere and shifted all of its productive capacities to outfitting new soldiers

The first super mutant incursion into the northern farmlands of New Canterlot was quickly repelled.

Brotherhood Elder McNamara took advantage of the war in order to form a CLOSER relationship with Equestria.

The Royal Expedition had received word of war when they were ambushed by a band of Super Mutants. The expedition just barely managed to drive off the Super Mutants.

Just when they thought it was over, and having barely recovered from the last raid, the Expedition came under attack by ANOTHER group of super mutants. They somehow survived that attack as well taking a few super mutants captive. Historians still aren't sure how they didn't die.

The Battle of Salt Lick City

In the summer of 2149 the Super Mutant Army had begun the invasion of Salt Lick City. While the Equestrian defense force was able to keep The Master's forces at bay for a few weeks they had been completely routed and driven back by the fall.

Those outside of the city at the time fled to Equestrian capital creating a small influx of displaced refugees.

The Super Mutants had begun instituting their "reforms" in the newly taken Salt Lick City. Which equated to "drafting" any human immigrants into their ranks and destroying the pony population. "Allegedly"

The Great Khans, sensing Equestria's weakness, attempted to extort key military intel in exchange for their continued neutrality in the conflict.

In the south the Follower's foreign aid workers were marching New Vanhoover. Threatening to impose higher health standards on the settlement.

Celestia sent Equestria's newly equipped soldiers to attempt a counter strike into Salt Lick City.

Caesar's Legion had secretly sent Equestria military support in the form of Centurion commanders. It was secret that neither faction knew about it until after it happened.

Equestrian forces continued to push against the Super Mutant line, but it ultimately ended in a stalemate.

The Expedition, being recalled from its mission to the west, started its slow march towards the homeland. Hoping that there would actually be something left by the time they got there.

Some of them had their doubts, but they dared not share them.

Why can't I make a text break between long posts?

So I'm gonna do something I usually don't do in stories, and ask for advice.

First a bit of background.

As you can kind of see from the last update I'm not in the best situation in the world. In case you didn't read it let me get you caught up. A Montezuma clone(The Master), along with their Gandhi clone(Forgettable leader of the Followers of the Apocalypse) vassal, just declared war on me and took one of cities.

My army is pretty much dead, wasn't that big to start with, and I'm desperately trying to rebuild the thing. I currently have no siege weapons and thus have been unable to retake or push back against. The Master is my chief concern but the followers sent a few units that are now threatening my southern city.

I currently have the tech advantage and that is it. No one else is interested in helping me out in this war.

TL;DR
Montezuma's trying to kill me. I have practically no army but a slight tech advantage.

What do you think? Should I stick it out in this war? Spam out some catapults? Or just keep pumping out soldiers?

General Pony Problems

It came as a surprise to nopony when the super mutant army neared the frontier town of Ponyta. After all not only was the town not joined to the rest of the contingent Equestrian territory but it also boarded Super Mutant territory to north. No, what came as a surprise was how limited the Mutant force was and that it even included robots. No one really thought that mutants could rebuild such advanced machines, or use tools, or think, at all. Of course no one thought to stop the production of the market place either. That took precedence over probable invasion.

The Enclave had decided to try to use the war as leverage to force Equestria into joining the Brotherhood community. Princess Celestia continued to bluntly turn down the popup spam. The Brotherhood conspiracy was growing larger and larger. Soon they would convert everyone and own everything. And make everyone have a CLOSER relationship with Elder McNamara.

Meanwhile in an old ruin on the outskirts of New Vanhoover. A group of Follower Doctors were asserting their control. It was a well known fact that each and every new "Doctor" that was inducted into the Followers of the Apocalypse must take a blood oath to seek out any and all abandoned derelict hospitals and proceed to raid them for auto docs. When a "Doctor" finds one of these auto docs they are said to transcend the social planes of the Follower's hierarchy. Placing them into upper class of Follower society.

Once a "Doctor" reaches this point they are permitted to open a "clinic" in the name of the Followers. Although these clinics generally offer basic medical services they are almost always a front for other criminal activity; generally tied to the Brotherhood mafia. Those who do not choose to open a "clinic" are usually free to pursue other fields of work. However the bulk of those who fail to open clinics, ordinarily due to financial issues or simply the love of the hunt, return to the raiding hospitals.

This particular group of Doctors were well experienced hospital raiders. Rumored to have stolen enough medical supplies to heal a small town. Which they then proceeded to throw in a wagon, cover in pitch, and push into a canyon.

Some might say that their bedside manner needed some work.

After 10 days of searching it was theirs at last. The fabled Gen E. Ral Hospital of Quin Say. The local ponies had largely ignored the structure and the area in general due to the rumored odd predicament of the location experiencing somewhat random drastic changes in weather that were not common to the surrounding region.

The doctors dismissed the concerns as nothing but pony tales spun by the locals to distract themselves from important things like filing taxes and submitting work release renewals. No, even if it meant marching into the abyss itself the doctors would march on for the promise of an auto doc waiting at the end of the road. Nothing, and no one, was going to stop them from achieving their goal. Not that any of them had any intent of splitting what they eventually hoped to find.
