Alexander the Great Scenario: Help!

first he has to finish "operation cataphract" ;) :D

No, the Numidian Cavalry should be first ;)

I don't hope so... It seemed like such a promising project.

I think Kryten's just been busy, though. Fingers crossed...

Fear not everybody.....this project IS NOT DEAD!. :D
(But....er....it is on hold for the moment)

I just have a few units to complete first (an excuse).
Then I want to help write a tutorial for Dom Pedro's excellent upcoming "Cut & Paste" project (another excuse).
Lastly, I need to get my head around the new features in Conquests (I'm begining to run out of excuses  ).

I am very interested in using the Conquest 'landmark' facility in order to create 'dirt tracks' connecting the cities and potential city sites together, and roads can ONLY be built on these 'dirt tracks' (thus stopping the entire map from becoming totally covered by roads).

I do apologise for being so slow, and I can only ask people to "please bear with me". :)

I, for one, will bear with you. :) There's not a rush at the moment, I deem. Good luck with coming up with new excuses, BTW. :p

I've had that kind of pessimism for a while. But the good news is -hopefully Firaxis will have learnt from their mistakes and made it so you can actually feasibly make scenarios from the original Civ release instead of making people wait until the second expansion when a lot of the people with the talent to make good ones have long gone.

And on the plus side, when Civ 4 comes out - we'll probably have everything already sorted out (such as techs, civs, map) :D, and all we'll need is to wait for the units to be made... :hmm:  that'll probably take until the release of Civ 5... :D

:bump:

No need to bump this IMO. When Kryten comes, he'll bump it up and then the thread will live again. But when... ???

Well, 9 months later, nothing . . . . I guess it don't matter too much at this stage, just a shame about all the wasted effort. Perhaps the scenario was too ambitious.

It wasn't too ambitious... it was just doomed when Exsanguination left. I personally reckon that a project will only continue as long as the person in charge keeps things going, and Kryten couldn't do that. I had some fun with the planning stages though so to me it isn't a wasted experience or anything.
