I'm not fond of gambling with money, so I would hedge. I would bet $20 on this year and $30 on next year.

Dennis Shirk (Firaxis video game producer) liked your post! :D
Yup, I saw! I bet they're enjoying this at the moment.

Meanwhile, Christopher Tin on Reddit responded to my inquiry as to whether or not Firaxis had contacted him about working on unannounced content with "Haha, I wish I knew something. I'm always the last to learn about everything."

I've decided that this is not a specific denial, which means expansion confirmed! :p

I think the real question is whether Sean Bean has gone back to do voice recording and die again.

Sean Bean will die once more if he were to pronounce King Dedede's name for the Switch version (if Nintendo franchises were to be represented in the Switch version of Civ).

There's quite a heated debate within the Kirby community over the pronunciation of King Dedede's name.

Just a thought...One thing that I always look forward to with new patches/content are new ModifierTypes and RequirementTypes for modding. I love the Modifier system that Firaxis created for the abilities and effects of Civ 6, and it's usually quite flexible.

However, there are still some relatively basic things we cannot do with the DynamicModifier system, such as not even able to check if if a city has a trading post (having this as a simple RequirementType would be so awesome!). Some things are disappointingly hardcoded, too. For example, Wilhelmina's ability granting Loyalty for trade routes is specifically hardcoded for domestic trade routes only, so you can't play around with that effect and international trade routes.

There are of course others, but if Firaxis is reading this..more ModifierTypes and RequirementTypes to play with, please :D

I do respect the Dev's messing with us all with strategic likes, that mean both noting and everything all at once

And it let's us know that the devs are paying attention, even if we don't hear from them very often.

This. We all know they're under a gag rule from the Suits On High, so them tossing us the occasional "we're not dead yet" with a strategic like is encouraging.

The fact that they choose them VERY carefully so they never confirm, deny, or encourage any specific thoughts is hilarious. Being involved in politics personally, I find it to be skillfully done.
