Yes, you can send orders for this update. The deadline is in 29 hours. If you have questions about what you can do feel free to post here or PM me.

Also, a note to all players, orders can be posted here in spoilers for now. But if you have something that you want hidden from other players I will accept PMed orders as well.

To his Majesty the King of Rtor, Scot Ander
From your most humble servant, Lord Adolph Von Krakenfeldt I

Greetings. It is with most joyous heart that I present you with this gift of 5 Gold, in honor of the ancient friendship between the families of Von Krakenfeldt and Ander. We would also suggest the holy joining through marriage of my son and new heir (OOC: if heirs can be declared at age 11) Sigmund and your daughter Cuivien that our friendship may last forever.

To all the children of the Kingdom of Rtor; His Highness King Scot Ander of Rtor, The Lord Dythraint Durgethorne of Nosaj
From the Lord Adolph Von Krakenfeldt I of Zere

We, as the frontiersmen of the Kingdom, the March of the south, request that all provincial leaders send a pittance of 2 gold to aid in our defense of the frontier against the Kingdom of Arathor in the south, and do so every 5 years [turns?] until the Year of our Lord [50 years from now], lest their thirst for land overcome their senses. (OOC: 8 Gold from King Ander, 2 Gold from Lord Durgethorne)

To the Lord Kellen Tavadon of Norland and Arathor
From the Lord Adolph Von Krakenfeldt I of Zere and Rtor

Greetings, friend. Long have our lands been peaceable- at least since before my birth, and our friendship has blossomed. I then propose, that we may nurture this friendship, the marriage between my son Arndt and your lovely daughter Neena. These betrothal ties would also bring stability to the region, and likely increase the merchantry through the western pass, as well as bring a few wonderful Rtorric carnivals to your cities and villages. What do you say?

OOC: Questions, merely numbered for convenience:

1: Stone camps give no income other than stone?

2: How does trading work exactly? "I'll give you two lumber for one iron"?

3: How many years will go by in an update? 1?

4: Can we bank gold, or no? As in, put it in our coffers, treasury, ETC?

OOC: I won't get to a computer until after the deadline tomorrow, so:

Von Krakenfeldt Family orders:
Spoiler :
Stats:
Family Name: Von Krakenfeldt/Eltain
Starting Province: Zere
Heads of Family: Lord Adolph Von Krakenfeldt I (39)
Family Members:
Lady Karoline III (wife, 37)
Sigmund (son, 11)
Arndt (son, 9)
Family History (optional): To come later.

Polity: Declare Sigmund the heir of the Von Krakenfeldt family, that he may rejoice even more under the proud, watchful gaze of his WONDERFUL father.

(if King Ander agrees) On the same day of his coronation as the heir, anounce his betrothal to the dame Cuivien.

(If Lord Tavadon (TheLastJacobite) agrees) Similarly, Arndt is to be betrothed to the daughter of Kellen Tavadon, the dame Neena.

Spending: 10 spent, 15 banked

Bank 15 gold into our treasury.

5 gold should be sent to the Ander dynast in Vicqe in tribute to his highness.

5 gold should be spent alternatively giving the peasants in Zere free bread and cheese for a single day of celebration, and honoring the crowning of the boy Sigmund as the new heir to their great Lord's family.

Keep whatever Gold we receive from King Alder or Lord Durgethorne (from our Rtorric Marches proposal) in our treasury for next turn.

A son can become Heir whenever you desire, but a son under 14 cannot receive titles or land. Just keep that in mind.

1: Yes, you will receive no other income.
2: That is up to you and the other province you are negotiating with. You can trade 5 stones for 3 lumber if you desire. If you desire gold in exchange for stones that will again be up to you and the person you are negotiating with. King owned provinces will be more difficult to work with because they are owned by the King and therefore trade with other provinces owned by the King.
3: Yes, each update will span 1 year.
4: Yes you can put your gold in your treasury.

To Lord Von Krakenfeldt I
From King Ander

We thank you for your gift of gold. We hope the Von Krakenfeldt family shall remain loyal friends of Rtor.

The other matter of which you speak of, we do not believe this should be pursued. After centuries of bitter conflict, I am sure the Kingdom of Arathor is also tired of war, and may view your defensive buildup as preparations for war. Rest assured though, if Arathor does desire to invade Rtor, your lordship shall receive all the funding and armed might Rtor can muster in your defense.

OOC: What about the proposed marriage?

Question: for training troops that require x resource, do we need to have, for example, 2 of that resource in order to build two units? Or does having one source of the resource allow you to build an unlimited amount of troops with it?

Durgethorne Family Orders
Spoiler :
Family Name: Durgethorne/Lord of Elves
Starting Province: Nosaj
Heads of Family: Lord Dythraint Durgethorne (38)
Family Members:
Lady Melviane (wife, 37)
Ines (daughter, 11)
Family History: soon(TM)

20 Gold - Improve road infrastructure and establish toll stations. Income from the tolls will go to local industry, and to His Lordship Dythraint Durgethorne.

10 Gold - Improvements to local fortifications if any. If not, then use this money to entice the unemployed to join the local garrison, this will put unused citizens to good use and help to lower crime (hopefully).

10 Gold - Treasury

OOC: What about the proposed marriage?

The King refuses. Your son is not yet of proper status to wed the Princess.

Before I can cast my orders, what do Highlands do? Can they build stone camps? Do they count at fertile land for cities?

Most likely you would be able to collect lumber. Since you have no mountains in your province you will not be able to collect stone, but you can trade for stone. To get cities you must first build a village and watch as it grows.

Question: for training troops that require x resource, do we need to have, for example, 2 of that resource in order to build two units? Or does having one source of the resource allow you to build an unlimited amount of troops with it?

As long as you produce or import said resource you can build any number of units your gold can afford. In your case you can trade your lumber and still have the required resources to build long bowmen, because you have Lumber x2, one unit of lumber is exported while the other remains in your warehouses for potential units.

If you are importing Iron from a nearby region to recruit men at arms and for some reason your trade got cut (pirates, bandits or bad relations) you will be unable to construct more men at arms but still keep those you have already recruited.

Does this help? (I expanded on trade as well, not just for you but for others in case anyone had questions about it.)

Elderidge Family Orders:

Spoiler :
Family Name: Elderidge/Agent 89
Starting Province: Noppin
Heads of Family: Lord John Elderidge (31)
Family Members:
Lady Elaine (wife, 27)
Victoria (daughter, 11)
Andrew (son, 9)
Family History (optional):

-20 gold will be used to construct one galley in our port city. After the galley is finished, we will find recruits around the city, promising them wealth and arming them lightly. They will join the crew of the ship, and they will set sail for Tiras. These hired raiders will launch raids against Tiras' small villages along the coast. They will land, pillage, steal as much gold and crops as they can, and then burn the rest. Our raiders will avoid confrontation with any troops raised by Tiras, or any of their galleys. They will spend as much time as they can raiding the coastline, and then return to Noppin. Part of their loot will secretly go to the Elderidge family, and the rest will be used to pay the raiders of.

Should anyone blame us for the raids, disown any responsibility.

-With the remaining 10 gold, we will bribe members of the King's court, and the courts of other nobles in Kenethica to pass on information to us about things going on at the court, so that we may be aware of any secret doings in the future.

Note: If any extra money is needed for recruiting the raiders, take it out of the spending for the second section.

That does help, thanks for the clarification.

OOC: Well, how can I trade for stone? No one in Kenethica has any iron or stone in the first place! I also don't have any ships to trade with the other two nations, either!

EDIT: What's the religious status on the islands?
