I think Mississauga needs a Polish circle...

DO you mind sharing Ontaria? :p

Happened because so many Russian empire people were emigrating to Canada after the Communist Revolution.
Solution, conquer Canada ;)
Now I wonder, how would these AngloCanadians feel about half their country being East European. And bringing along their Communist political views along too. Sounds like a good ethnic mismatch comedy.

We'd be on par with the Poles :)

Depends on the date, but at times Canada was pretty left leaning, especially immediately after WWI. We still do have two communist parties.

Tekee you know UK has about 1 million Poles. Most of our school children don't speak English as a first langauge, infact it is mostly Polish - so Easte...sorry North African Nation of Poland is taking over the UK

I thought they`d mostly speak Punjabi?

Most of those Poles are only temporaraly in UK, they work in England for higher salary and exchange rate exploitation between Pound and Zloty.

It's surprising to see their kids don't speak English though. Are you sure about that?

Should update itself. It is wet but not as bad as that Canada thread.

I remember learning about this in school, something about Communist party gaining votes espiecally during the Great Depression, Although I don't remember much of Canadian Grade 8 History...

Erm...

1. It's Ontario, not Ontaria. With an o. :p
2. The nationalities doesn't add up to 100%, they add up to 86.6%. There's more, those are just the top 6.
3. Greek and South German are not Eastern European, by anyone's definition. So, the "Eastern Europeans" are only about 31.7%, unless there's more in the remaining unseen 13.4%.
4. Even if all of the remainer is from Czechistan or somewhere else in Eastern Europe, it's still only 45.1%, less than the Anglo-Canadians and not half of Ontario.

So you epically fail multiple ways. :p

I am not sure how much support the actual Communist Party had (the elites were hard against communism), but it never recieved a significant part of the vote.
The Progressive Party and later CCF (forerunners of the NDP), were quite left leaning at times, and got significant portion of the votes, there were many who expected the them to win an election or two at times and to break the two-party system. And the CCF itself was destroyed by accusations of communist sympathies during the Cold War. True none of them were actually Communist, but show that Canada was relatively left leaning (not to mention our history of dealing with Communists as opposed to other Western countries)

If Greece isn't Eastern European than niether is Poland. Eastern Europe according to you guys is this half of Europe over, Why is Greece not Eastern European? because they weren't communist? Well than that goes back to my arguement that you guys can't come up for a definition of Eastern Europe that includes Poland that doesn't involve Communism. :p

off topic though, please continue.

Romania?

I tend to think of Greece as more Southern Europe than Eastern Europe. I prefer to think in terns of northern/southern/eastern/western rather than just eastern/western or eastern/central/western.

No, the Baltics are clearly in Northern Europe.
