Alternative Map for DOC

Less so.

No, I don't really think Königsberg in particular is compatible with other desirable cities in the region. But that's fine, different games can show different configurations of these cities.

To be honest, it's tough. You probably wouldn't get the AI to found them.

Can't that be done with settler maps?

(Also, would you be willing to consider Koenigsberg if I made a good enough case for it?)
What does that even mean, "consider Königsberg"?

On a random note, here's a new, bigger Korea! (Thank you so much for the new mass-move plot function in the WB.)

I think that might be a smidge of overkill in terms of enlarging Korea tbh. It's already quite enlarged. I get that you need to add some territory there just to keep it competitive with the neighbours but you've nearly doubled it. I think it would still have a decent snape without, say, the 3 southernmost tiles.

I just did it because it felt too small compared to the rest (it almost did not increase in size from the current map), and there were suggestions of enlarging it early in this thread. But I agree with the overkill. Even with very closely spaced cities, they can still grow a bunch. I'm trying out a game with this, and yes, it does look like overkill. The abundance of coast is the main culprit. (Though I added another fish SE of Busan, w/c may actually not be necessary.)

Bottomline: Enlarging Korea makes it too OP. At least we tried.

I'm not sure about others, but I'd rather Korea not be shrunk to the point that North and South Korea can't be separate civs. I want my Korean Split!

Gameplay wise Korea needs slightly more space, but enlarging it is both too much geographically and too powerful.

Greetings All,

Please forgive me, I am new. I am just a history nerd with a long abiding interest in this game franchise. I started with the Rhye's and Fall that comes with Beyond the Sword, love it. Then I found this one and loved it even more. Thanks for all your work.

I started playing again during hibernation season and wondered, is it possible to play the 1.13 or 1.14 mod (think that 1.13 is what I have now) with this larger map? If so, how can a Luddite figure it out.. asking for a friend ;-)

Welcome to the forum, glad to hear you enjoy the mod. Unfortunately this map is currently only a proposal, and while people have modified it to the point that you can open it in the mod without errors, it's far from actually working. So you cannot play it at the moment.
