Always the same civilizations

When I start a new game with C3C, and I choose ramdom civilizations, I always find the same 4 (the other 3 may alternate):

The iroquois
The aztecs
The incans
The mayans

I have not found this bug in the list... Is there a mistake in my installation?

No, no mistake in your installation.

In Vanilla, the "culturally linked start locations" had a bug, which caused you to start always near civs in the American culture group. Do you have the latest patch?

Rather, Conquests had the bug. You can tell by the inclusion on the Incans and Mayans.

Just turn of 'Culturally Linked Start Positions', and this will go away.

So there is no fix for this? I'd really like to be able to use culturally linked starting locations for something other than the American Indian group.

No fix. Civ3 was in it's final version a few years ago, when they released v1.22 for Conquests. No more patches. Period.


It's a shame, too, because there are still some other bugs left....
