An aberration of nature
The man glanced at the freshly dug grave yard, one of the many that had begun to pop up after the collapse of America and its subsequent descent into anarchy.
"When the Nation forged from revolution and tested by another falls,
and its land splinters into lines drawn in dirt,
then once again has the time come for the king to arise ."
The man murmured, repeating the words from the prophecy book he carried with, an ancient volume older than the pharaohs, detailing the course of human civilization. Never once had it been wrong, and this was more proof. But where was the king? When would He claim his righteous throne upon the world, as he had nearly done fifteen centuries ago, with the conquest of Camelot.
Had that damn snake Merlin not interfered, Mordred would have taken his rightful place as the ruler of this earth and Gisborne would have been his right hand man. But he had instead been cursed to wander aimlessly forever until his master came back, after Mordred had been defeated by Arthur on the battlefield. But if there was one quality Gisbourne had in abundance it was patience. To his wrath, a thousand years had been but the blink of an eye.
And so he waited and bided his time. And so he had lived in this nation with all of its fruitless and ridiculous debates over communism and capitalism when in fact it would cease to matter, for all world bow before the supremacy of his master. Chuckling at the thought of the power his master and by extension, he would wield, Gisbourne entered the upcoming town and began looking for a boy with a cross shaped birthmark on his neck.
Dun, dun, dunnn.... I know this doesn't really fit in with the realistic tone of RT's story, but you can also think of this as the insane ramblings of a madman if you prefer. I just wanted to make a story.

I have left for Sicily in order to set up a new separate government from Italy.
