The only reason I think the Mixtecs would be a better pick then the Zapotecs is because they could have Eight Deer Jaguar Claw as their leader.

Unfortunately the Zapotecs leaders that we know of aren't on the same caliber as him.
I like to choice civs based on it's leaders. But what had this Eight Deer Jaguar Claw did of so special? That don't have a Zapotec leader as Zaachila didn't make?

Okay so, that is Mixtecs lead by Eight Deer Jaguar Claw in the 3rd spot of Meso-America because it's leader is more amazing than others.

Let's move foward and speak now about South America.
I can see some good names as Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Incas, Mapuches, Muiscas, Tupi and Guaranis.
From this list I want to see the most is the Tupis lead by Cunhambebe with two canons in his back as in this image.:

Other civ I want to see the most is the Guarani lead by Sepé Tiaraju

The only problem I see with Guarani is their cities should have Spanish names as San Miguel, San Ignacio guazu and Assunción.
But shoud be fun to have a Guarani civ who have unique units from Paraguayan history since Paraguay is the modern country who have it's heritage linked with Guarani.

Brazil and Inca are a given.
The other two that I'd really want to see is the Muisca and Argentina. The Muisca Confederation were the most unified and largest out of all the indigenous people in South America, other than the Inca. They should eventually get in.
Argentina is another modern Spanish speaking rival of Brazil. They also have a unique culture with many more European influences then other parts of South America.

Brazil and Inca are a given.
I'm not that sure Brazil is given, because Brazil just appear in Civ 5 and 6, and in CIv 5 Brazil just appear in a late DLC.
But I hope you are right and Brazil come in vanilla edition of Civ 7.

The other two that I'd really want to see is the Muisca and Argentina
I also want to see Muisca and Argentina in the game.
Muisca I just discover about them in this forum, but since they are the El Dorado civilization I think should be very fun to play with a leader full of gold.
I'm cool with Argentina, but I still think they have a lack of god name to be leaders, my best option is Bartolomeu Mitré, but he isn't so amazing to be a civ leader.

Ok I have an unusual question

Can someone make a convincing argument to add Ecuador to the game? I almost never hear about the Ecuador in this context, and when I have tried to read about its history and culture I saw very little to read about, it didnt participate in any major wars, I cant think of literally anything distinctively Ecuadorian, no idea why did it go separate way from Peru and how does it differ culturally, basically I know nothing about Ecuador and it is hard to believe to me than this country of iirc 18 million people is the only big South American country that has no way to ever get into this series.

It hasn't even received its own mod in civ5, unlike Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti and Mexico :D

Well, as a friend of mine who usually hangs out on other sub-forums on CivFanatics bemoans, the lack of interest and representation in the Glorious Empire and Naval Power of Liechtenstein is downright criminal. :P

I think Equador is lucky to be a country. They deserve to be part of Peru because it was conquer by the Incan empire, but when the independence happens Colombia, under Simon Bolivar, conquered the Equador and claim sovereign over Equador.
I don't think is possible to do a civ of Equador, they don't have any remarkble leader (at least I do not know any one) if we want to do a civ of Equador we can use some native american tribe of the regions, I'm sure when Inca conquered the land there is some powerfull nations there, even because there is a important port in Guayaquil, who can be a city state at least.

It was part of Gran Colombia, unlike Peru, which is why Quito is on their city list. That's probably about it.
I've never really even heard of people wanting Peru either, considering we have the Inca.

Colonial Ecuador was part of the Viceroyalty of Peru until 1720 when changed to the Viceroyalty of New Granada (later the Great Colombia). At the same time Ecuador was its own Royal Audience based on Quito, that used to be a way bigger territory included the northen part of current Peru, the southern part of present Colombia and even the full Amazonian river until Portuguese took over it.

The Huancavilcas-Manteños were the greatest native maritime traders in the Americas (likely reached both Mesoamerica and the Polynesia) so Guayaquil could be a Trade CIty-State.

Well, in a nutshell, Ecuador is a small and densely populated country in South America famous for having the Galapagos Islands. It doesn't have much to offer as a playable civilization and perhaps not even as a city-state. Anyway, Ecuador is in the game as part of Gran Colombia which I think is the best way to represent the country in the game.

Other option to represent Equador in game is to have the other Equador, the confederation of Equador. A breakway state of Brazil at the time of the empire.
They occupied this pink part of the map
ch_48_01_930_15767_1403980_.png

And have a cool leader as Frei Caneca. I know this game don't like to represent breakway states, but this can be an option.

Ecuador had one of the most famous catholic art tradition named La Escuela Quiteña translate to a School of Quito but i wasn't like a school, the term is used to refer to a tradition practice by multiple workshops), Quiteño art was value in almost all the americas and the phillipines during colonial and it still stands till this day. thats more culturally, also during colonial time there were alot of small maroon states inside of Quito ( a good example of both this and Quiteño School is the painting named Los Mulatos de Esmeraldas).
Also Ecuador on its rural side still uses the Minga system from prehispanic times.

Thanks @Krajzen for the Equador issue, but I guess everybody already cast it's opnion.
So I will move foward to North America.
I can see some choice as USA, Canada, Cree, Iroquois, Sioux, Shawne, Cherokee and Seminole
From Shawne I would like to have it leader Tecumseh
200px-Tecumseh02.jpg

He was a great leader in 1812 war and was also leader of Ojibwe, Wyandots, Fox, Sauk, Odawas, Kickapoos, Lenape, Miami, Seneca, Onondaga and Delawares. It makes sense a north-west bloobing of Native Americans. under Tecumseh leadership..

Other civ I would choice because it's leader should be the Cherokee under the rule of Sequoyah
250px-Sequoyah.jpg

He never was it leader by fact, but was the dude who made an alfabet for Cherokee people who still used today among the community.

And for last but not less important, I would love to have Seminole lead by John Horse or Negro Abraham
220px-John_Horse%2C_Black_Seminole.jpg
FBWE5egX0AQFOW4

I can't decide between both is better to lead Seminole. I just don't think it is Osceola because if Osceola leads Seminole it will be just more one boring civ. But Seminole lead by leaders as John Horse or Negro Abraham, from Black community, make it very more cool.

Of course, you do realize, and it's been pointed out to you several times before, you can't have this guy in game because of his name. It may not be fair, but there it is.

Despite I disagree he has a bad name who can't be used in game. We still have John Horse as an option. Who should be better because he look likes (at least in the picture) more black than Negro Abraham.

So, take what I said about Mexico in that other thread. Say it again here.

If you're going to have a native American civ in this game, let it be a Native American civ, don't foist a leader on them because you find his skin color or ethnic origin less boring than "actual member of the actual tribe,"

But - unlike Abraham, who doesn't even have an english wiki page, John Horse actually does have a fairly decent claim as Seminole leader. I'd say not as good as Osceola, but not far behind,

If fhe Seminole were to be in the game, which frankly I think they are fairly far down the list of potential native civilization, John Horse would be a decent leader for thrm,

Personally i think Seminole civ could represent that part of their mix ancestry and the importance of that mix racing through their unit, because i also agree that Osceola is a far better leader for Seminole civ

If Osceola leads Seminole, it will be just more one boring indian civilization who should pick up other better names as the Iroquois, Shawnee, Cherokee, Sioux and etc...
But if John Horse lead it that make Seminole very special. (The only rasonable choice from Blacks in North America)
I don't know what Unique Unit should the Seminole have, maybe something replacing a rifleman, but show ethnics of units in this game is so underloocked, the only way to represent the interation o Black community in Seminole tribe is portray it's leaders of Black community.
