Hey,
As many of you may know, I am having some trouble in Diety level. So do many other people probably. As suggested in "Diety Trainer Request" I have decided to start my 3 succession game attacking Diety. Diety Newbies are welcome and Diety Vets are certinley welcome too.

I have thought of these settings, please post comments on any changes you may wish ;

First 3 to sign will start the game

BTW, first player to sign may choose the civ for playing just as long as its not the English

I am not joining, but what is wrong with the English? I just used them in a Solo game and had quite a lot of fun with them.

, though I had a bad experience with them and I cant stand thier mix of Traits and thier UU. I feel the same about the Mongols but I didnt say anything

If you are a Diety Vet. then I guess you can even though I said no. Is that really bothering you???

I'll join . We're doomed, and I am an Emperor flop, but with a bit of luck and some Deity vets, we can maybe do well . I did win a Monarch AW as a non-militaristic civ, so I don't suck.

I choose India. Why? Commercial will give us TONS of extra gold, and Religious a. gives us cheap temples and b. gives us GUARANTEED 1 turn Anarchy. Plus, I hate the Spanish UU.
Who knows, we might actually win .

Great! Ill go for India, I have never plaed with them but this is my first . I also hate the Spanish UU (even though I am Puerto Rican ) I got pretty much the same expierience as you, so dont worry bout it . Youll be on top of the roster so youll start first. 2 more player to enter will begin the game.

I'm sorry but I just started Epic 30, have my Training Game, and my story-telling game. Combine that with a 40 hour work week and an hour commute and I just don't have the time to pick up another game right now. I'll gladly comment from the sidelines though. May I recommend against India however. Religious is a very weak trait on Deity. You have no prayer of keeping up culturally, cheap temples or not, and you will likely only change governments once, from Despotism to Republic (unless you can sneak in a change to Democracy if the AI becomes bogged down in world wars and revolts to Communism. I would recommend America. Industrious workers will help you big time and scouts will get you more contacts which will mean cheaper techs and better maps. That's just my $.02...good luck!

England or America. Liz or Abe. That's what it's narrowed down to .

America is Industrious and Expansionist, England is Commercial and Expansionist. There's a slight difference.

We're playing like this in CTR1 - Blind diety. You probably won't need a deity vet to start you off.

A good idea which Speaker used in our training game (EG1, Team 1) was to get every player to play a start and then pick the best one. You might like to try this, I feel I certainly learnt a lot from this exercise. The key to this sort of game is discussion. You want to bounce ideas off each other and learn the strong points of each others games. You will also find a lot of deity vets who are willing to post short tips and pieces of advice to help you along.

Over at CTR1 we expected to fail miserably but we are actually level in tech in early middle ages and are (ambitiously) planning a war. Good luck to all those who sign up and play in this!

I love this idea. Thats the way its going thanks. Now we have no problem to pick who gos first and will start when two others sign up! Why not take the challenge??? Many of you guys out there need this and is welcome to come play!!!!

Won at Emporer a few times. Playing GOTM-20 and it's going well. I'd really like to try out some of the things I've learned lately...

Me too. Although GOTM 20 is not going as well as I would have liked.

I'm strapped for game time. I may play the first turn with all of you and then beg off if thats ok. Or (assuming this game ever starts) put me in the roster and skip me alot.

My favorite would be playing a scientific/industrious civ, but I'm open to any except Spain (current GOTM)
