I have corrected the ayastigi line (it works on my computer, anyway) in the patch on the first page of this thread.

I was up too late, didn't get enough sleep, the dog ate my homework! Please pick an excuse for me because I certainly don't have a good one. :blush:

Before these few problems cropped up, I was already looking at the new units being done on these forums for some to add into this mod. I want to add some more regular units. I also was trying to figure out some more civs to add but hadn't completed a list yet. I haven't had a good look at any more mods to merge in, however. Inquisitor mod, maybe?

So, short answer... Probably about a month. My personal life is starting to get busy with kids and upcoming travel.

i dont think adding inquisitor inside - i think it causes problems in mp games...

here a couple of suggestions -
civics mod - like gender if you know
another religion - like shinto mod

maybe some more tweaks in the game then addind mods....

i added israel civ to your mod at my cpu...works fine :)
i might add more stuff - if you want ill give you my version of your mod ..when ill do some changes.

I haven't looked too hard at the Inquisitor mod yet. It was just on my list to look at for now.

Israel civ looks interesting. Which version did you merge in? Arik's Isramod or CivArmy's? I would want to see if I can reskin a LH to look good with the civ, though. Other civs that I was going to try to create myself were Tibet & possibly the Picts (they may be too similar to the Celts).

Shinto mod is definitely interesting but I was unsure whether to add another religion into the mix as there are games when I feel Firaxis should have reduced the religions by 1 or 2 to make it a little more challenging to be the first to discover a religion. I guess that's probably what the harder game difficulties are for. ;)

What is "civics mod"? I think I have missed that one. I'll search the forum for it but if you have a link to it, I'd be thankful.

Would everyone like me to add some more civs, UU's and Regular units in for the next update and hold off on merging more mods? That would be easier and not all mods out there have been updated to v1.61 yet.

There are only 5 LH's (6 if you count Sid) that have not been reskinned in my mod and I really don't want to keep re-using them over and over. That's why all but one of the new civs I have added only have one leader. Too many of the same 3D model runs the risk of playing against multiple versions of it in game.

I would like to add 8 more civs (to bring the total civs to an even 50) and be done with that aspect of my mod. At least until the expansion comes out.
 
Great Job, love this mod. Just one thing, isn't the Inmortal Skirmisher way too overpowered?

Replaces Archer, STR 5 Mov 1. 1-2 F.Strikes, +10 Withdraw, +50% city defense????.

One more thing, the zulu and aborigene UU get Combat I, and their leaders are aggressive. you could remove that benefir as it is pointless

the civics mod is called gender mod - it was published a few month ago, i still have it, its kinda nice - its a civics that give all sorts of stuff about bitrh.
i kinda liked it - ill give you the file maybe today or tommorow.

as i was saying more units is cool, i think adding mods is also v good, butt, on the bottom line the most change you see in a mod is if it has any new units/tech...

so maybe you can develop more the tech tree you know, adding more techs could enrich the game alot. i might suggest you use some of exaviers mod - he made some techs connected to the modern era - he emphesized the battle ships development.

another thing i took from exaviers - is the small scaled units - smaller units - makes he game faster - i like it.

i used the civ army pack for israel with two lh, king solomon and david.
im looking for a 2nd uu for them right now...

In the dictionary under "redundant", does the description say "see redundant"? :lol:

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm going to take a good look at the UU's prior to my next version. Someone on this thread asked for a list of the leaders, UU's, etc and I have been working on a reference guide to post here that includes all that information plus images of each unit (in case someone wants to see them before downloading). I think once I have finished that, I will be able to better see any overpowered or redundant UUs. I'm not sure what I was thinking on the Immortal skirmisher. :crazyeye:

as i am new here, i am trying out some of the mods listed here.

Well recently i played Amra´s Mod and as i used the world builder tool, civ4 just died. No error message, nothing. Just back to Desktop.

I installed all the latest files listed in here.

Btw : i still get the Cherokee_ayastigi bug pop up. Even with the latest patch installed. Any idea why?

Usually, when I begin a new game, I build 1 or 2 wonders while I'm exploring the area with a workboat.
Included is a saved game.
If I move the workboat 1 square East, another South East, I always crash and return to the desktop.

If you want a Canadian leaderhead that really looks like Trudeau, you could start with the Ceaser leaderhead. The resemblance is striking. Even a toga and laurel wreath would be in character.

Roosevelt would be a fair base for Mackenzie King or Lester Pearson.

This sould be fixed as of last night when I posted. The correct patch file should be called "Amra_Patch_161a_Corrected.zip". The only thing I can think happened with Frag is that he downloaded from the link on post#96 which still was pointing to the wrong patch. I have just removed that link and hopefully that should be the end of the Ayastigi snafu.

Frag, if that is what happened, please try the patch on post#1.

AND WHAT ABOUT THE PINK SCREEN THAT FRAGGNOIA MENTIONS?

im glad to say that after 4 hours of work i succeded in doing a second uu for my israel addition!!! i had to learn from trail and error how to add bymyself :)

I took a look at the savegame you posted and when I load it I get the same CTD problem regardless of where I move the workboat or even if I leave it and just end the turn immediately. I tried a few different things including trying to unfortify the unit in the city. When I did that, I got a python exception error involving the PlotList button mod. I haven't had any errors like that before but it definitely will bear watching.

The Civ4 1.61 patch changed a lot of things in the python coding that previously worked in v1.52 and that has screwed up more than a few mods out there. The PLE mod by 12monkeys is a very complicated bit of python coding, but I thought I had managed to merge it into this mod okay. However... In light of any python exceptions from it, I will have to find some time & double check it. :(

No, the only thing that I corrected was the Ayastigi mistyping. Everything else in the patch was the same as listed in the info. This was posted Friday evening when I got home from work and saw all the messages about the Ayastigi problem that the first patch had caused.

Regarding the new GP mod pink screen. It could be a mispelled .dds file in the GreatPerson art directory. I'll look at it.

I'm really trying. I want this mod to work right but the update from 1.52 to 1.61 seems to be causing problems where there were none before. I'm sure it will all get straightened out eventually. Until then, I appreciate everyone's patience while I try to put out all the little fires.

Now, if only I don't cause more of them like the Ayastigi error. :rolleyes:

FRAG,

Are you playing the German language version of Civ4? I looked at "Nikolaus Kopernikus" and it shows up as the <German> name in the CIV4GameTextInfos_GreatPeople.xml file located in the \Assets\XML\Text\ directory of my mod.

If I am correct in guessing this, that would explain why you are getting pink screens for some GreatPersons. The GP Mod unfortunately works by using the <English> name in the xml file I mentioned and quite a few of the GP names have different spellings depending on which language you play the game in. I'm sorry to say, there is no fix for this other than playing the game in English.

If I am wrong on what language you are playing in, please let me know.
