Anarres versus ERIKK PBEM

great game, nice read, interesting for DDPP for me too :)

And my bet is ....
I'm quite curious how it will end, I'm thinking Anarres bigger lands will give him the upper hand if Erikk doesnt act soon....

My guess would be war is coming soon. This war will determine the winner. I think it's close but for now my bet is on Erikk

The game is pretty close, although I still think ERIKK is ahead in the long run with the Pyramids and Sun Tzu's.
 
Wow, didnt take long for you guys to get rid of most of the AI.

Of course, it would be different if it wasnt on chieftan...
 
Do I understand right that because of a bug PBEMs can only be played at Chieftain level ?:(
 
Sum up
- Sun Tzu created in Boston. (Will post later a screenie.)
- Knights and Med. Inf. prepping for final push on India.
- America is stronger on military according to the military advisor.
- In the F11 screen Greece is ahead of America in alomost everything.
- Both are in Golden Age.
- No diplomacy has been conducted yet for turns after #135. If no agreement will be settled we will enter the Cold War-age...

Current active agreement: a non-agression and non-expansion-border-pact:

Looking at this screen again, the Americans wonder why the Greek had so many trouble with the former Ottoman city of Izmit (upper and middle/center American city). It is clear that the former French city is too far south....

(I just downloaded Paint Shop Pro 7 and have been playing around a bit. ;) I learn fast and will be able to make some nice battlemaps/plans in the future... :satan: )

Here is a word from our military advisor:

Troop concentrations in peacetime:
2 active divisions (1st Div and 2nd Div) and 3 regiments in reserve. (For security matters I will not spoil by telling how many units an American division or regement has.)

I am not into military. Can somebody tell me how divisons, batallions, corps etc.. are made up and what they should consist?
 
it depends on what country's army your asking... I think there's a difference between the Russian and US armies for example.
 
I found this in a book:

batallion: 600-1000 men
regiment: 3 bataillons
brigade: 2 regiments or more batallions (depending on command structure)
division: 3 brigades + supporting personel
corps: 2 divisions or more
army: 2 corps or more
armygroup: 2 armies or more

The words army or amrygroup I am not gonna use for obvious reasons....

let me see:
1 civ-unit can be a batallion
3 civ-units can be a regiment
6 civ-units can be a brigade
18 civ-units can be a division :eek:
32 civ-units can be a corps

I think I will form some regiments and brigades and maybe a division... ;)
 
I like the new pics for wonders in ptw. I didn't realise they had changed...
 
Very interesting stuff here, as Propain says also interesting to see how this develops for certain DDPP players. ;)

Looks like there'll be a final showdown soon, I feel ERIKK has the best position now, already being the military leader and having the Sun Tzu's in position. Those barracks could prove to be a mighty asset should war break out.
 
Game still lokks pretty balanced to me. Need more info about infrastructures.

This one may well come down to a couple of crucial dice rolls - and who strikes first and hardest.

I think its gonna get interesting soon when the world powers collide.

Well, IIRC next turn will be 133. Our non-agression pact will end in turn 135. If we don't agree to a new one... who knows what will happen.... I expect a new diplomacy round this evening.

So, to summarise we have the following treaty until turn 175:

1) non-agression
2) non-tresspass (in to opponents settled land)
3) no settlements on wrong side of north-south dividing line (see post #125)
