That explains why everybody ignored the fact that horsemen only have a 50% chance of retreating - it was patched in later. Nevertheless, I still think horsemen are the way to go.

The thing about an AI healing in another AI's territory, maybe that was because they had a RoP? I've never tried to heal my units in a RoP partner's territory, but I wouldn't be surprised if it works. And the AIs sign a lot of RoPs.
 
hmm, yet another thread dredged up from the past with lots of misinformation in it....

Can't people just start a new thread if they have something to say that someone once wrote a year ago, instead of replying to it?

I suggest a mod closes this thread so that it can fade away again, back to the ancient tombes it belongs.
 
can't build swords without iron, in which case you're screwed. since with the garbage combat system of civ3 i've lost like 5 archers to ONE spear before. its SICK. not to mention after taking the city it flipped after two turns

after that frustrating game i quit playing civ 3 :lol:
