Ankka, would it be possible to post a zoomed out screenshot of the eastern and western fronts?

Another reason why we need to eliminate Mongolia. We are in roughly the same position that Germany was in during both World Wars. We are faced with a two front war. It will be vital to eliminate the second front if we are to survive.
 
Western front. Notice how our troops are scattered around and the AI has cities scrambled all around with other civs.

There are also a couple troops farther west, near the ruins of the old Arab town Fez. And three slaves for a (doomed?) blockade of the Aztecs.

I agree; we need to take out the Mongols. We should call for peace with the Arabs -- that will net us 10gpt, and also make everyone else a little more ticked towards them because it will break their MAs. Then the other civs will be in a better position to talk peace as well, though they will probably have to wait a few turns.

The colonies are probably lost; let's ignore everything up to our cultural borders and whatever troops we can spare take out the Mongols. Then take out the Germans. Beginning to think my MA deal with Germany wasn't that great of an idea, because it killed our income so. Anyway, by the time we get to Germany, they will have at least one tech up on us -- I think they already have Chemistry. And they also have NO iron or horses, and I don't think they even have saltpeter. They may just be slow hooking it up, but they could be an easy target all the same.

And maybe the idea is to let the AIs in the west run out of room to expand; you know someone aggressive will get antsy and declare war.
 
I would try and make some sort of stand for the colonies. How much, two or three defenders, but pin is right. Defend our cultural frontier in the west and :hammer: the Mongols
 
In nothing else, those colonies are a good place to hole up & heal.
 
Playing now. Main targets:

- most troops should travel to the East and home for an assault against Mongolia

- Leave the AI's in the West in peace for a while

- defend the colonies if/when possible.

IBT: American knights run around, but the only attack is against the Blokade of Azteca which falls to an American knight...

790AD [3]: A vet knight razes a newly- built American town guarded by a spear on the way home. We get 1 gold.

Vet knight kills American reg knight.

IBT: American knight attacks a GS on plains in a colony, we win.
American knight attacks 3-hp vet knight on plains, we lose & they capture 2 catapaults.

800AD [4]: We capture an American worker.

IBT: Vet spear on a hill defending many workers kills a Carthaginian knight.

Arabs dclare war on America. :D

IBT: Arabs and the Zulu sign MA against America.

We lose a 1-hp knight to an American longbow. Th era of the Aztec blokade is now over.

Entremont knight > knight.

830AD [7]: Siege of Los Angeles:
Vet knight kills reg spear.
Vet knight kills reg spear, razes the city, promotes to elite and destroys an American galley.

MM Entremont to make knight in instead of 4.

IBT: Shaka comes and tells us that our troops need to get out of his area. Very well, we'll move.

840AD [8]: Elite knight attacks Sulcis (Carthaginian), which is on a hill but defended only with an archer. we win and raze the town. We also get a slave.

IBT: We lose our saltpeter colony as a Cartaginian knight attacks.

Alesia knight > knight.

850AD [9]: We get our revenge as we kill the knight that destroyed our colony.

IBT: Entremont knight > knight.

860AD [10]: Move troops around.

It is either feast or famine. Last week I was on vaction and I didn't have any SGs to play. This week I'm back at work and I'm up in four. :rolleyes:

I've got it, although I'll probably need the full 48 hours.
 
Woohoo! Nice turns Ankka!!! :goodjob: Great to see that the AIs finally came to their senses and started beating up on each other. Now if only Carthage and Arabia would go at each other ...

Well, I'm on turn two right now. If you'd like I'll just stop and hand over the game, and say I'm through. Yes, we have a 50 hour play limit. I'm not going to make it. Your call. Smart alec comments aren't exactly team building. I think I've got a pretty good reputation in these parts on not only playing my turns, but keeping games going. In fact, I have NEVER HAD A SKIP. But, hey! It's your call Ankka!
