Civ3 Vanilla locks up when I try to start diplomacy with the another civ :(

I used that fix. Was quite tricky given that I normally have autosave disabled so save disk space.

Anyway, it didn't work. I mean, it did... for a while... but the error returned!!

Do I have to use it everytime I want to contact that civ?

It was really bad timing for a crash aswell, right in the middle of a war and my troops were awsome. I doubt I'll be able to repeat that peformance

No, if it worked and then stopped working, then the most probable cause is that you've reloaded an earlier save (which is agains the rules by the way). If this isn't the case, then e-mail it to me at gotm@civfanatics.net, and I'll have a look at it for you. :)

No I have not reloaded an earlier save game!! That's impossible because I have the technologies I traded off that civ the previous turn, but contacting crashes the game!

I have not to broken the rules, except where the game crashed and I lost my turn but there's nothing anyone could do to prevent that... and experiencing that causes only  +

Ok, I'll mail it.

Are you there Ainwood? :undecide:

I sent it some hours ago. I'm getting bored. If you tell me the file is OK, then I can continue... otherwise, I'm going to be waiting.

Just as a point of information, Ainwood is on New Zealand time.

Oh. I didn't know :)
