I will try to be brief, but Cleopatra? Really? I have a lifelong fascination with Egypt, and I have always played Egypt. I am sure people who have a passion for a certain civ are going to be disappointed from time to time, but to take an ancient civilization that withstood over five thousand years and choose the Pharaoh that, through no fault of their own, really, had to see its utter and permanent downfall. A Macedonian Greek.
Not cool. Give us the classic gender options. Hatshepsut, Thutmose III, Rameses II, Djoser, Narmer... The devs had plenty to choose from, and they picked the last one. I don't hate Cleopatra or anything. I'm not particularly chauvinistic, either. I just think a civilization that endured for thousands and thousands of years with a 3,300 year written history deserves leaders that were either great military leaders, monument builders, or economic expansionists, and not the descendant of a foreign conqueror who oversaw its complete collapse.
