"Dreams" by Harry Chapin - Particularly sadistic because it's a bright, bouncy tune with incredibly depressing lyrics. Actually just about any Chapin
song is pretty depressing.

"Time" by Pink Floyd

"Sam Stone" by John Prine - About a Vietnam vet coming home; written
while the war was still in progress (1970).

"Nobody's Hero" by Rush.

The Boy with the Bubblegun - Tom McRae

Absolutely stunning song, one of the few where the singer actually sounds like he means it.

Hurt-Johnny Cash-Beauitful cover of a NIN song....really talks about the futility of life, and presence of death. Especially poignant as it was Cash's last song before his death.

Absolutely amazing. The video for it even more so.
