Woah I actually remebered my password:D

Anyways,

I always seem to get the most boring maps, and most people here have all these cool maps :/

Dont forget the World conditions aswell.

Thanks:)

Coolest map I've played:
Civ: America
Seed: 5266041
Size: Huge 60% Water
Type: Archipelago
Climate: Wet/Warm
Age: 5 Billion
Barbs: Sedentary
Agression: Normal
Civs: Ottomans, England, Greece, Japan, China, France, Korea, Rome, Germany, Russia, Egypt, Portugal, India, Babylon, Persia

Don't know if it matters but, I turned Cultuarlly linked off, as well as AI respawn.

Good question! Since I'm playing on a Mac, I can't use those fancy Windows tools, that people are cheating with.

If anyone could post nice seeds with starting locations including rivers, several cows and nearby luxuries, I'd appreciate it.

I wouldn't like to have a screen shot spoiling the map though. Just the seed. :)

The starting location isn't terrific, but good things lurk nearby. 14336437 Standard Pangaea, 60% water, wet, warm, 4 billion years, roaming barbs, normal aggression. Play as the Russians.

no, not like good starting locations, i mean intesting/weird/cool land formations

I'm playing this one now (as America - against the Koreans and Aztecs). There's 3 luxes on the alpha continent and one on the strip just across the channel, but no coal or saltpeter (which is a bummer), and I have to settle right under a volcano and the Koreans for iron.

How can I find the seed #? I have a fantastic map that I just played (found it randomly). Has 5 luxes on the alpha continent plus iron, horses, saltpeter, coal, aluminum. The only resource that isn't on the alpha continent is uranium, you have to go find that.

Download Civ Assist II, load your game up and open it, click on world map, right click on one of the tiles, and scroll down to preferences, it lists everything you need to know.

Seedbeast is smaller and also works.

That one that overseer put out here did have coal - I had workers working the tile when I got coal and didn't notice it. I'm still playing it through, but the Aztecs wound up on the continent to the west which looks pretty big so far.

I landed there and built one city and noticed Aztec cities popping up all around me that were on the "New" variety - which isn't good news for my one little city.

At least they will declare war on me.

Ok - here's the best map that I've ever generated:

6500742

It says huge continents, but it's 80% water, sedentary barbs.

The alpha continent has 5 luxes and all of the resources except uranium, you have to go get that one.

To other smaller continents and a few tiny islands - good for a 3 or 4 civ campaign.

Best one I've generated.

Here's a really weird one I got.

37783562

Huge, continents, 80% water, wet, warm, 3 billion years, sedentary barbs.

It's a continents map but in fact it's a Pangaea (:crazyeye:) and my start location was the most north-eastern one on the map!! Never actually bothered to play the game, but now, looking in the editor, at least I got aluminium!! :rotfl:

Looks like a cross between a cartoon pterodactyl and a B-2 bomber.
47496366 - normal size, 70%, normal, normal, normal, normal

That's an inland SEA inside that main island, isn't it? That is pretty cool.
Although, on the other hand that it isn't a fresh water lake and you'd really need it over there, so that sucks .
I can't decide.

Inland seas aren't very rare. The map I've posted has 2 of them, one is in the screenshot. I remember having one that was amazingly big, I'll see if I can find that save.

Edit: The map I posted actually has 3 inland seas. The Inland sea I was thinking about was also on that map. I have another map that has a huge inland ocean surrounded by a thin continent with 3 enemies on it, if anyone wants to play it I'll find the seed for it.

Hmm, I have fun typing in various family birthdays and seeing what maps get created. My Dad's birthday generates some really nice ones, as does my Mom's. July 4, 1776 in various permutations works well too.
