howdy y'all,

even tho i vaguely recall seeing something on the subject many moons ago, i've tried searching and found nothing. [*sigh ...*] so here i am asking ...

has anyone here tried more than the two standard traits for civs? something like "sci, ind, com" for instance?

if so, what are the pros & cons & gotchas?

take care,
lee
howdy y'all,

after asking the above over in the general subjects section, i was referred here. [*grin*] nice folks, good pointers.

so, what _are_ the gotchas with 2+ traits per civ? if there's already a thread or other post on this, please, point me to it.

take care,
lee

In my personal mod, I have triple traits for every civ.

I've had no problems related to it however. I think it adds a bit of spice to each civ.

howdy to both of y'all,

thanks for the info. now, i'm going to ask for more ... [*grin*]

what sets of traits were chosen and why? what civs did you assign them too? for instance, god_money, are you willing to post the sets and civs you used? if so, please do ...

take care,
lee

In CCM all civs have 3 traits, as the trait "religious" was given to every civ to shorten down the phase of anarchy. The Great Wonders should be adjusted to that, so it´s still possible to get a Golden Age even with building one Great Wonder.

howdy Civinator,

that's one use of added traits that i hadn't thot of! kinda obvious now, but that's how many good ideas seem in hindsite.

could you / would you point me to an article on _exactly_ how the traits assigned to wonders trigger GAs? i appear to have misunderstood that point. my search mojo aint up to snuff today - i presume it's in the strategy & tactics area, but i aint found it. [*blush*]

Here per example (and two tops later the wonders are listed): http://www.civfanatics.com/civ3/infocenter#golden ages: Top 20 and 22.

There's bloody 3 civ traits in the conquest scenarios :P

Check the Japan WW2 scenario. Japan has 3 traits.

howdy Civinator,

i've found your CCM thread, but you apparently aren't sharing the files as of yet. makes it difficult to look over your settings ... [*grin*]

would you please let me look at the rebalanced wonders and civs for your mod? i presume the BIQ file would be all i need to see the info and that otta be fairly easy for you to pull from the full set.

of course, i _would_ really enjoy seeing any discussion you have had on the traits assigned to each civ and why ... [*grin*] i'm curious what japan [mil, rel] ended up with, for instance. my first impulse would be either industrious or commercial.

take care,
lee

The CCM biq will be available to the public, when the public betatest of CCM is starting. :)
