anyone use Helicopters?

Civ2 Choppers were awesome. I miss them. That said, I have built Helicopters, and I'm pretty sure I've used them. At least once or twice. But yeah, the low range and the fact that there are simply much *better* ways of doing whatever Helicopters can do means that they're terribly lackluster.

Civ 4 gunships are cool, but I find helicopters in Civ 3 to be a waste, considering that railroads and airlifts can take units just about anywhere in one turn.
