Well, Apolyton's server seems to have crashed and burned (I'm not sure about the second bit, but its definetly crashed ;) )

Here's what comes up when you try to load http://www.apolyton.net/forums/

DUE TO THE HIGH TRAFFIC, OUR FORUMS HAVE TO BE DOWN RIGHT NOW.
PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER TODAY

WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

I hope the admins of this site are adding extra capacity...

In the meanwhile i'm stuck in this little village. :p

We have won! :D

They have been averaging 600+ people for over a week, this was inevitable.

I'm sure MarkG and DanQ will have their site repaired as soon as they can.

And guys, we are not in compition with them, they are civ fans just like us. ;)

The worrying thing is that alot of them could join CFC and cause the same problem here as well...

Apolyton? Apolyton? What the hell are you talking about? I never heard of Apolyton? What is Apolyton? Where is Apolyton? Who is Apolyton?

 Hahaha! C'mon! I have an account over there, never used it though. Only once for a scenario of mine and the other time for defending shadowdale.

the server's overloaded again right now. i get the server busy message. they probably turned avatars back on again or something and it immediately crashed:rolleyes:

It seems nothing exceeds like success. I must admit to a bit of admiration for the currency and quick response in say their Civ2 forums. Perhaps CFC will evolve to an optimal size?

The thing that intrigues me about 'Poly, and about forums in general, is why people feel it necessary to spam and troll ?(not talking about anyone or anywhere in particular, but I hope it would not be seen as perjorative to advance the opinion that more of that type of behaviour happens in forums other than this one. Ain't we lucky!:) )
I just cannot understand the mindset of such individuals, and to complete my 2 cents worth, I agree that we are an optimal size.
