You may be right - my impression is that over the years that poly have been in operation, their civ2 forums have been somewhat exhausted as evidenced by their archives (which are quite a source of info, if they are still available). For the oldies, it's a question of "been there, done that".

I just cannot understand the mindset of such individuals, and to complete my 2 cents worth, I agree that we are an optimal size.

Probably they can't deal with real life on a realistic basis and so bring their fetishes online into some forums. And I dun think you'll want to (or shld) understand such minds.

Indeed. I also just saw the other day, whilst in temporary refuge there, that posting on the OT forum does not count! Goodness me! I never realized that before. No wonder, I'll never be naught but a chieftan there

Well, I can remember SunTzu had "Apolyton who?!" in his signature. Probably removed it as it gives a bad example.

Anyway, I experienced this myself once! I was already GOTM admin, but when someone at my job saw me surfing at this forum, he asked if I also visit Apolyton. I had to ask what site that was! Again, I already had my function at CFC and knew CFC for...5 months! I found it while searching for "Civilization III".
