Ok, I snooped through a few dev blogs and in one they mention having to build a navy to protect sea trade routes... so maybe?I'm not sure about trade routes. It looks like a straight up swap of manufactured good in the demo's.

They posted on steam which leaders are in the leader dlc: Charlemagne, Genghis Khan, Yoo Gwan-Soon, Hildegard, and Boudicca. So the white dress lady is confirmed to be Yoo Gwan-Soon.Alright this last video confirmed that the Shongai leader is actually Askia Muhammad I, with that (if you don't count Eva Perón, Jonh A. Macdonald and Benito Juárez who didn't get their names shown in the UI) the only mysteries left are who is the Inca leader that seens to be an Sapa Inca, and who is the white dress East Asian lady (most likely another Korean leader). Also, Alexander is confirmed as another leader for Greece, so no Macedon this time (despite we getting an separeted HRE from Germany). So 45 leaders and 40 nations:
# NATION LEADERS 01 The Abbasid Caliphate Harun al-Rashid 02 The Apsáalooké Osh-Tisch 03 Argentina Eva Perón 04 The Assyrian Empire Sennacherib 05 Australia Howard Florey 06 The Aztec Empire Itzcoatl 07 Belgium Leopold I 08 The Byzantine Empire Irene Sarantapechaena 09 Canada John A. Yeah it is a bit of a concern this near to release. The doubt that it might all fall down in late game.at some point they need to show some late era gameplay, still to see much of that
There's a new dev Q&A:
The question of late game performance is asked. The answer is basically "I would have been worried too, but we have a custom engine that is built to handle this".
ThisRequest for moderators, as we know mods will be supported for this game, should we create a sub-forum for this game similar to what we have for civ series?
Thank you, and good work on the new subforum and threads.Attention everyone, we have now a new subforum https://forums.civfanatics.com/forums/ara-history-untold.641/ , and this thread has been moved to the new subforum.
I will now try to create some threads out of the content in this thread, and maybe make 1-2 new ones.
For any news, n stuff, please try to make new threads to populate this forum .
I hope so too, and I am optimistic that it will not. Fundamentally, I believe Ara has the advantage of being a better game, and also maybe with heavier backing.I just hope ARA forum doesn't end up like that of Millennia
It never is. But what I've already played was pretty darn good already, and it appears the team is dedicated to keep improving and expanding the game after launch.Btw I've preordered today, I believe into this project and I don't care if everything will be perfectly polished at the release time...
I just hope ARA forum doesn't end up like that of Millennia
Well... buy the game, and discuss it here, then this will turn out different .I hope so too, and I am optimistic that it will not. Fundamentally, I believe Ara has the advantage of being a better game, and also maybe with heavier backing.
I was kinda puzzling over this earlier and remembered watching the diplomacy video where they touch on trade briefly, no direct answer there but they do use Merchants as the method of conducting trade and it seems to be over a length of time and not every turn... (video link at trade section)Hmm but it's a one for one trade in the demo.
What could be in the route?
