Arabia First Look Video (Saladin)

Of course this scenario also needs Tamar of Georgia.

She will undoubtedly be in the Third Crusade DELUXE scenario, together with the Seljuks and Byzantium after the next expansion.

When I heard about the Arabic UA, LUA and UB I thought this is exactly the UA, LUA and UB I would give to a Hebrew Civ. Of course then first prophet instead of last prophet and Yeshiva instead of Madrassa, but with same bonuses. Which nation is more religious and scientific as the Jewish nation. An idea for mods as Firaxis is probably again too afraid to lose Arabic buyers and will not make even a DLC. And I have the feeling the Arabs are little bit overpowered with this bonuses.

You get a jewish civ if you found Judaism, which is of course possible ;-)
You are confusing nation and religion, which happens for some nations, but they really should stay divided in civ (and in the real world/history imo).
One could (and some do) argue for the Kingdom of Juda being included as a civ. But honestly I can't see how they would get much bonus to religion. They weren't exactly more religious than their neighbors. And I can see some restrictions for them: early prophet guaranteed so no Great Prophet points (why first? doesn't fit historically), no missionaries/apostles but cities are extremely hard to convert... and this goes off-topic, sorry. I bet there is a thread about it in the Suggestions Forum.

Going by this Chinese site http://civilization6.vgbaike.com/文明#.E6.B3.95.E5.9B.BD , some additional perks and clarifications for Arabia and Saladin are that The Last Prophet gives Arabia +1 Science for each foreign city following Arabia's founded religion, and Righteousness of the Faith reduces that religion's chosen Worship Building's Faith cost by 90% and grants it an additional bonus +10% Science, Culture, and Faith to the host city's output. If it's right, though, that's for any city following that religion, so it does mean that other civs can enjoy the cheaper, more powerful building, too.

That could be some powerful persuasion towards picking up Arabias religion if that's the case, especially if you aren't actively playing the religion game

What a sneaky way to slip in a religious victory. "Go ahead and adopt my religion, the building that comes with it is practically free..."

Damn, as if Arabia was not strong and interesting enough. I love its scientific focus.

No military bonuses for Saladin's LUA at all? :(

No military bonuses for Saladin's LUA at all? :(

Did you not know that Saladin was just an officer of the bookworms. He conquered Jerusalem with throwing books and shooting writing pens.;)

I have just thought of a question about the last prophet ability.

What happens if im playing another civ and take the second to last prophet and then a civ who are higher in the turn order qualify for a great prophet?

Does the game auto reserve the last one for Arabia when the second to last is taken?

Jesus, the Arab civilization design just keep winning:

- Spread your religion in order to help your science
- Get an awesome compensation bonus for being the last funder of a religion
- Give incentives for another civs to adopt your religion

The only caveat is that these bonuses are far more fit for Abderraman or Abu Bakr rather than Saladin, but still, very well thought design.

I discovered that Arabia has a secret bonus to city-states.

You see, if you want to benefit from the Madrasa, you have to build a lot of Campuses. If you build a lot of campuses, you get a lot of Great Scientist Points. Plus you can buy them with your ridiculous surplus of Faith. Great Scientists frequently give you Eurekas.

Who loves Eurekas? City-states. It seems like half the quests are "Get a Eureka for...".

So, by building a lot of science infrastructure, I got a lot of Great Scientists who gave me a lot of Eurekas that gave me Envoys with City-States that had Eureka quests. Now I have a lot of city-states without trying very hard.
