Hehehe, and here's why I'm JEWISH.
Judaism is NOT based on "one ancient preacher", unlike, ummm, you know what IS.
Judaism is based on the Sinai revelation, where some 3.000.000 people were all present and witnessing.
I'd say, this outnumbers all scientific evidence ever conjured.

What did the 3,000,000 people witness, again?

For BELIEF, you don't need proof, other than for yourself.
For SCIENCE, you must bring proof that would convince even the biggest skeptic.
Untestable science CAN'T do it.

Like, the Ten Commandments, at the LEAST.
Also the Ten Plagues, the splitting of the sea, manna, water from the rock, etc.
The entire nation was there, all the time, so if anyone would make up things, he'd be ridiculed and immediately dismissed by the overwhelming majority.
(If you disagree, try convincing a single JEW in something that he/she disagrees. Then multiply it by a million or three... Got my point???)

What's the untestable science here ...?

Heh I thought there were serious doubts on whether the Jews were even enslaved in Egypt to begin with ?
You dare argue with 3,000,000 witnesses? Take your untestable historical records out of here.

Untestable science is the term civ2 uses for scientific principles he doesn't understand.

PARDON ME?!?
Who ever TESTED the idea of apes-turning-humans???
(Or any other of equal jump in quality, like birds and whales.)
Guesses will remain guesses, regardless of how much they'd be CALLED facts.
As of archeology, it's not much different from paleontology - mostly guesses, based on other sources anyways.
So, whether it supports or denies anything, is mostly just guesses, not much PROVED there, either way.

Aha, as if you can truly TEST something that no one is ever able to reproduce or witness.
WHO is using oxymorons NOW???

Holy crap there are 3,000,000 separate recorded accounts of the 10 commandments being handed down? That's so weird, I've never seen more than 1!

Hey guys I just witnessed God saying that there are crab people living underground and it's His plan for them to take over the earth. There were 4,000,000 other people that saw it, that's more than 3,000,000 so obviously this is SUPER VALID, but none of them wrote it down, so if you could all just take my word for it I'd appreciate that. Thanks!

The standards of proof being thrown around in this thread are so ridiculous it borders on surreal.

There are actually two for what it's worth, although I suppose that doesn't mean a lot if you're insisting on Mosaic authorship.

civ2, I don't think you're quite getting the point of what we mean when we're talking about evolution, and it could just be a language barrier. Try emailing somebody in the biology department of some university in Albania and see if they'd be willing to answer your questions.

No one, since such claims are only made by people who have no idea what Evolution is about.

Two pages ago...

There is a mountain of evidence supporting evolution. Scientists may argue about how it happens, but no serious scientist believes that it doesn't happen. Have you ever even heard of Australopithecus afarensis?

Making great progress, aren't we?

The assumption that I'm bad on biology (or am from ALBANIA?!?), shows nothing beyond the lack of actual proofs for evolution.
The entire PRO-evo talk is basically "bones are trusted sources to make up our theories, regardless of how technically unscientific they be".
Meaning, they could as well say, that this proves we're descendants of aliens, and with enough scientists to catch on, this would become the official theory sooner or later.
The lack of ships would be attributed to having a teleport, or sudden leaving of the "main group" or whatever.
What I mean, is that we can't KNOW, we can only GUESS.
So why prefer one guess over another?
