Actually, it started because Kyriakos doesn't like the politics threads in OT. For the real background, see his thread in Site Feedback.

This thread of Hygro's is an argumentative response to one of my posts.

Definitely think some sub forums should be deleted and merged into Off Topic. This is the only place I visit on CFC.

It is pretty silly given their traffic, for S&T, A&E and History to be separate. For those worried about those topics getting lost, I would just give them a distinctive prefix so they can be seen/found easily.
