Ares de Borg's Terrain Pack II: Open Beta

Ares de Borg's Terrain Pack II: Open Beta! 2016-10-05

I'm having trouble finding the bonus grassland. the tree disappears into the grassland. I do get a couple of red dots if I look very carefully.

also... the grid lines seem to disappear except for in the water tiles. Ok, I'm old and my eyes aren't so great but can these things be made more clear for us visually challenged?

The preview of the Lm terrains has my mouth watering.

If you are looking for a little color variation for the scrub/desert: sage (salvia apiana) might do.
It's a light grey - often with purplish undertones. The flowers add a very pale violet to it in the spring. Grows everywhere from high desert through chaparral to mountains. Used in xeriscaping so some of the pictures aren't in its native habitat.

Thanks for the comments.

@darsky: I'm sorry if you have any troubles. The trees are meant to blend in, maybe the contrast of your screen could be increased a little? And I'm not sure what you mean by grid lines - in the editor?

@Blue Monkey: Good idea, since the LM Desert isn't finished yet, there's room for improvement.

.

the grid lines are those enabled by Control G. they divide the playing field into squares. The colour seems to be a perfect match for the greens.

I am enjoying playing this set - it just requires me to pay closer attention to my Terrain information windows.

@Kyriakos: I'll do that for one set and post it here... setting the cities correctly in the pcx so that we can use it as template, ok?

That would be worth a thread in the tutorials forum.

Well, we could fix that, but I've never seen a reliable template for where they're supposed to have open area.

The irrigation is all right, it's the cities that need some movement. ;)

Goldfool posted City Templates.

If you draw a 45 degree line up to the left and a 45 degree line up to the right, both originating from the bottom of the diamond, the city can occupy anything north of those two lines without irrigation overlapping the SE and SW sides of the city. The city overlaps anything to the North, which is not a problem.

It would be so much easier to use a diagram, I made one but the site presently not allowing uploads.

The problem with Kyriakos' cities is that he's using a 752x570 template, so this one won't work. ;)
