[Keroro] Actually I agree with that. The really nice thing about this terrain set is that it has so much texture. The grasslands, in particular, look pleasantly rough and rolling, much better than the flat Firaxis tiles. So the rather uniform colour of the river makes it look a little out of place by comparison. I suspect, though, that it would be hard to do much about that, given that the river has to go over a number of different terrains. It's going to look a bit overlaid on those forests no matter what you do. Which is a flaw with the way the game displays terrain, of course, not with this set.
All these screenshots look wonderful. This terrain set should finally make Civ III look genuinely beautiful. I bet it will displace Sn00py's as the "standard alternative".
[T.A JONES] Agriculture can be terrain specific, to a certain degree, and I think it already is in this set. Mines cannot be terrain specific. And no improvements can be culturally specific.
