From the United States of America
To the Various American Nations
CCed The World,
It has come to our attention that certain (central American) nations believe that the United States is weak-kneed for having failed to re-affirm the CSA’s support for the Monroe Doctrine (OOC: post 81).
Let us be clear. The United States has been since 1823, and continues to be, dedicated to the principles espoused in the Monroe doctrine.
When we remained silent in the face of the CSA’s declaration, it was not for lack of principle, but because we did not feel we needed to echo some pretender confederate union’s parroting of our own well-known policies.
We hope that any confusion has now been clarified.

CCed The World,
The United States is hereby making itself available to mediate in the resolution of territorial or international disputes throughout the Americas. This assistance is meant to help avoid bloodshed and violent conflict between states for any reason.
Any nation that takes unilateral military action against another within the Americas, without first attempting to resolve the issue though American (and possibly other nations as the case may require)-assisted mediation will incur the wrath of the United States, which may, in turn, take punitive or interventionist action as it sees fit.
The United States and others have diplomatic, strategic, and business interests throughout the American continents and would not see those interests endangered without cause.

CCed The World,
Military adventurism such as that undertaken by William Walker in Nicaragua and Costa Rica should never have been tolerated and henceforth WILL NOT be tolerated.
Swift action will be taken by the United States military to protect the independence of all regional states should it be deemed necessary.
