Hello,
I think Firaxis should really add the capacity for artillery (be it naval, airborne or land-based) to destroy enemy artillery. After all, a majot part of the airforce´s job is to destroy enemy artillery. Also, I find it terribly iritating that after thorough spying and sub placing I manage to pinpoint all my enemy´s nukes disposition, to nuke these places first and get rid of the damn nuclear weapons, and I cause this Nuclear Holocaust only to find out that everything but the enemy´s nuclear weapons that were in the city were destroyed (something usually noticed when the nemy warheads hit you for revenge ... )
Hope you guys fix this(and this is not too much complicated),
Nuke

Why destroy artillery when you can CAPTURE them! :D As for the nukes, I think most are kept underground so they can be used again. If you could destroy all nukes on the first strike(s), then that's kind of unbalancing. You'd be able to use nukes without fear of a counterattack.

The nukes surviving is intentional. Firaxis wanted a counterstrike capability. The turn based nature of the game keeps them from doing an immediate counterstrike like a real life attack would prompt.

That is why real life nuclear attacks are only part of the war plan. They are supposed to be accompanied by swift invasions.

You're supposed to get to the nukes while they're still on the ground.
